starfries thx for the advice in the other thread, it was quite helpful... but yea i'm still dying a ton =/. i guess its just a matter of skill. i'm probably just not good enough with the maneuverig yet? but so far I haven't killed more than 3 pax before having to give up due to time constraints or going straight to SB... i'm just wondering if there's something i'm missing. it takes me a lonnnggg time and millions of deaths... are there packs i should jst automatically avoid? what sorts of packs should i avoid? can you give some advice on that?
reposting this from the enchantress thread since it's most relevant for DH and helped me get through the game:

basically my idea is to use the enchantress as a super snare turret. load her up with ias/vit, give her a weapon with ias/vit and minimum cold damage and let her go around infinite snaring things. currently my enchantress has 2.6 AS with 68k hp and i've only used about 100k gold on her. companions never do enough damage anyways so just use her as an extra perma-snare who can tank a few shots to make kiting easier.
what my enchantress uses as her weap:
i wish it had more stuff like chance to fear % but w.e.
What skills are you guys using to get past phase 2 of Diablo on inferno? I've died like 50 times to the shadow clones (doing it through RoV 2sec stun & neth tentacles) and its getting demoralizing

Use Hungering Arrow from far away.
This helped me a lot when I did Inferno Diablo with low DPS.

Hmm thanks - but didn't he get a bit lucky though? I think he dodged the shadow clone shots twice through dodge chance in that video if I'm not mistaken!

seconded.
he had 2 dodges against the clones and one against the fireballs in phase 3. assuming a dodge chance of around one third, the vid he posted would be roughly a 1 in 27 event.
the tactical hints he gives are correct and very useful though. in general, however, I wouldnt recommend doing diablo unless you have more damage. it just gets unnecessarily time-consuming and tedious otherwise.

I think maybe you need to take it slow and have more patience when kiting. 5 minutes a pack will still get you to siegebreaker in a reasonable time. 5 minutes might not sound like that much, but that's 6 preparations, which should be enough to kill anything.
Make sure to clear out an area to kite in, preferably a loop somewhere. Try to shoot from offscreen as much as possible. In the keep, shoot from outside the doorway because sometimes they bug out and won't attack back. Always clear from the bottom up, so you can see farther.
I would avoid packs with extra health, unless the other mods are easy. Depending on what kind of enemy it is, fast can be annoying and lead to a lot of deaths. I don't think anyone bothers to fight invulnerable minions. Make sure you have a way to deal with reflect damage (I carry a bow with life on hit for that). You can outrange teleport, vortex and mortar so stay really far bad against those.

Yes he gets a bit lucky. I didn't get any dodges when I did it. I think I may have been a bit more aggressive against the shadow clones though to make sure they didn't sneak up on me when I was dealing with Shadow Diablo. You should be able to do Phase 3 on your first try with all the practice Phase 1 gives you, it's exactly the same except one new attack which he shouldn't ever do as you have to be fairly close for him to use it, and stuff falls from the sky but it's pretty easy to dodge.

I disagree, IMO it's much more fun if you have low DPS, you have to actually learn boss patterns like a 'real' boss. With a high DPS you can kill the shadow clones in one smokescreen, or kill Azmodan without having to learn how to dodge his pool phase for example.

when i did it i was super aggressive vs the shadow clones. i popped ss in reaction to spawn, did the stunning arrow AoE thingy, and holdposition/autoattacked the clone to death. man if i got as lucky as the guy in the video i would have finished so much earlier.
one thing that helped me was that the first clone always spawns to your bottom right if you don't move. if you do move before the spawn then she can spawn in any relative direction.
I finally beat him! I used a bit of different approach - I think its quite decent for those who don't want to rely on just running away from the clone (but can't kill him fast enough in 1SS or whatever).
What I did was have a second set of gear (mainly all vit/resist, you still need to be able to dish out some damage of course) that I change into when I know phase 2 will start soon - with shadow of power gloom rune, the clone will not be able to 1 shot you. So I pop SS+RoV>SoP>SS and took down all three clones without too much difficulty.
Just an option worth considering hopefully
I can finally focus on playing SC2 again - just in time for the new ladder season =p
After 2 days of hungering arrows I felt I got severely shafted by a waller champion group in the barracks where the walls obstructed my arrows, Usually Evasive fire would bypass such barriers, New to hungering arrow, with no real good openings to shoot around I was at a loss to what to do and had to resign to back to Evasive fire to kill the pack, How do you guys deal with these kind of problems?

Looks weird to me or crit chance isn't accounted for in total damage.

Did you sit in Town with max Sharp shooter?
yea with max sharpshooter. 1st glove still gives more dps.

that pack was very mediocre. the only problem was the fact that there were 4 people with the tank getting insta-gibbed while the dpsers were busy running through doors. it was just bad luck in a bad area with bad team setup. hungering arrows is still best.
also, you just have to learn to angle the arrows properly. i was getting my damage through fine in that fight. it was annoying because of the illusions but puncturing takes care of that.

nay the walls are flat making my hungs disappear. Something I never had a problem with using Evasive, so It caught me by surprise. This wasn't a big problem in that open area but the door ways were bad.
