I'm currently asking myself what to look to upgrade next ( http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Furlisht-2840/hero/315556 ). Given my current weapon, would a 1 socketed 950dps manticore (about 5millions) be a good upgrade or not? They seem so low on dps i really can't tell.
Thx
Your shoulders, pants, chest are pretty bad... is the MF really that essential to you? If you're insistent on going MF set (which I did, and regret): here's my profile, I think I have a pretty balanced set of gear which is mostly reasonably priced. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Pokebunny-1967/hero/18746826
Thx for the advice, with my paragon level increasing, i could drop some magic find to get a good upgrade! I'll look into that!

I'm having a lot of trouble in general, attempting to optimize my build and get better gear. I've mostly been playing solo, without consulting guides or asking for advice on fora, so I'm in a position where I'm pretty sure my setup is awful, but I don't know what to do to improve it.
I have 347 Resist All, which is probably overkill for a Demon Hunter. What number should I aim for?
I generally get raped, violated, and tossed aside by anything with Reflect Damage. Since I use Vault as an escape mechanism instead of Smoke Screen, the cinders I leave behind often exacerbate that problem, and I'm forced to run around taking potshots until my health gets low, and then either drink a potion or have my Templar heal me. My weapon's lifestealing properties aren't nearly enough to negate the damage I take. Any tips for that?
Overall, my gear is terrible, mostly because I don't know how to make cash effectively. I see you guys tossing around stuff like, "Oh, that item's only 10 million, you can get it easily", while I'm struggling to even get 200k after several hours. Therefore, I've been making upgrades on a super-small budget, because even 5 million gold is an astronomical sum to me. Are there any particular areas in which I can more effectively make some cash? As a point of reference, my gear allows me to complete Act III Inferno, but I cannot farm it very well.

1) 300 AR is a sweet spot for DH, not overkill provided your other gear is on par. 2) You don't need 4 damage spells (5 with vault) on a DH. Swap something for Shadow Power and reflect damage won't be an issue. 3) Your gun has high DPS but no crit damage and no socket. Unless you gear up for crit damage, your shiny sharpshooter passive is doing nothing. 4) Similarly, if you're using SS and no innate crit chance, burst damage is a better skill build - you have 1 second of guaranteed crits until SS resets. Naturally good with cluster arrow. 5) When I couldn't solo Act 3 as a DH, I ran Keep Depths in public games. Wasn't fast, but it's pretty safe if your team has a decent tank.
Now I was wondering what would be the best way to go about setting up for the new monster power system. I have around 190 all res now, and I think I will need to get nat boots first for more all res, or maybe after the patch i could get some ring and amulet with all res, 300 all res should be ok ? I have 130k dps now using steady aim and 36k health, is there anything I could upgrade within the 20 mil range ?
Also, for the people that have been playing on the PTR, could you estimate which monster power I could do without too much problems. I really don't have any trouble doing act 3 as is. Thanks
i don't think you should be stacking defense, since the rewards for higher mp is terribly poor and you are better off flash farming mp0 or 1, or any level that you can one shot hte white mobs.
with that said your best upgrade is nats boots, then a new bow.

He makes a full circle of fields back to the wp, I believe. I suppose he could do rakkis backwards from wp - have you tested xp per time on rakkis compared to other areas?
The fallen + the stuff that climbs up from walls (which are most of the mobs on Rakkis) give very little exp. Also they tend to run away so it's annoying as hell to chase them down. If you just do it for farming then it's worth it.

I haven't recorded the exact exp/time, but the monster density looks fairly consistent with the other places. I'm thinking that even if Rakkis isn't optimal for barbs, it can still be good for DH simply because the entire place is a straight hallway, perfect for ball lightning or multishot.
I think the discussion of optimal exp/time can be a bit moot - I think what's most important is fun and variety. It's no use burning yourself if it only leads to a minor exp/hour gain. Of course, if your fun lies in maximising your exp/hour then you'll need to measure yourself.

Of course, but then why would you be running Alkaizer runs in the first place? =p I do alkaizer runs mostly on my barb solo, and then use my DH for long party runs.

Is it some sort of special act 3 route?
Start with the quest kill Azmodan - clear right to his entrance and then log out. Thereafter, you'll always spawn in that position outside his entrace.
- Clear to the WP for Core of Arreat, then WP to Tower of the Damned 1. - Clear the area in a circle, then WP to Arreat Crater 2. - Clear the area and then take the WP to Keeps 1. Immediately enter Keeps 2. - Clear Keeps 2 and then TP back to town. Take WP to Bridge of Korsik. - Clear Fields of Slaughter. Log out, rinse and repeat.
If you do it Alkaizer style, you'll only pickup legendaries and ignore goblins. However, you can have your own variants, i.e. pickup ilevel 63 as well. In order to pickup items quickly, you'll memorise their names, so you know which ones are ilevel 63 without even picking them up. After the end of the run, put all your items in a stash and only identify them once your stash is full.
If you're a barb with good gear, you can get 10mil exp for the whole run, which takes about 10 mins, i.e. 60mil exp/hr. DHs won't be able to hit that mark - the best I've seen a DH do is like 50+mil exp/hr. If you can hit over 40mil exp/hr you're pretty exceptional already.
i am looking for a decent quiver currently, while looking for max disc + high crit chance Deadman legacy is totaly out of question since it cost too much $$ [i use 2h XBOW FYI].Should I just go for rare quivers like this kind of stats which cost me <2m$?
210 dex IAs 15% +8 or above max disc +8 or above crit chance socket
