While I agree with you (can't disagree there ofcourse) that for single target Devouring is better, I still think Evasive has some qualities which outweigh this. First of all, Evasive hits 3 targets. This happens quite often in important situations (when fighting elites) since there is usually 4 or more of them. Then you have have the fact that Evasive is INSTANT, as in no projectile. Im not 100% sure of the following but: With Evasive I can instantly see after what shot the monster dies. Sometimes its one, other times more. With Devouring, I feel like i spend more time shooting (overkilling), since the missile is so slow and I don't know if it will kill the mobs in one hit or I need to shoot more. Finally, >>>while this might be different now that Ubers come in to play<<<, when do you really rely that much on single target damage? Most of the encounters where damage matters are elites, and they usually die all together. Convince me! =)

Convince me! =) I think Pokebunny is not saying that HA is better in all cases - what he is saying that for low gear DHs, HA > evasive. This is because for low gear DHs, the biggest issue is almost always DPS and hence HA/Cluster Arrow aims to maximise that. If your DH is geared enough, then choose whichever one that suits your playstyle best.

I have around 190 all res now, and I think I will need to get nat boots first for more all res, or maybe after the patch i could get some ring and amulet with all res, 300 all res should be ok ? I have 130k dps now using steady aim and 36k health, is there anything I could upgrade within the 20 mil range ? Also, for the people that have been playing on the PTR, could you estimate which monster power I could do without too much problems. I really don't have any trouble doing act 3 as is. Thanks Hi again, I took the advice I got here and got nat boots and a new manticore for 12k dps more, I am now sitting at 143k. At this point I'm wondering is there anything else I can do to boost myself up to 150k without dropping 50 million on a new piece of gear. Ive been toying around in the d3up damage calculator for the past hour and every option I try is just so crazy expensive. I could maybe try to drop out allres on my helm for a socketed andariels, don't know how that would turn out. Also, at what dps does it start becoming overkill ? Thanks for all the help again.

Its an easy fight as long as you pay attention to Maghda's pretty little butterflies. I ran w/ boar Hungering arrow-devouring arrow Sentry-Vigilant watcher [dont underestimate sentry it does good damage] archery/custom engineering/perfectionist fell inlove w/ the sentry after i realized it can make up for the dps i lose while running around. i have 120k dps w/ this build and 150kish w/ steady aim ![]()

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Praetorial-1971/hero/931640 I'm a fresh level 60, with gear that I either bought at a low price on the auction house or borrowed from friends! I've managed to clear act 3(with many deaths), what is the best way to approach upgrading my(terrible) gear? Thanks very much!

You could upgrade cheaply at bracers or what I reccomend is getting some cheap lacuni prowlers, you won't be able to afford ones with crit chance, but thats ok, you really want the movement speed. You can make up that loss crit and then some on your quiver, crit chance is a must there and look for at least 15% ias. To stay within a cheap budget I'd look for boots similar to yours except w/ vit, shoulders also look for around 150 dex +vit. Pants look for more dex and all resist, drop the little bit of vit if you have to. Gloves are good, just look for more of those stats. Amulet get more crit chance and damage, even if it means dropping dex. Belt look for more dex + vit. Add in physical resist where you can if its cheap.
