I would like to know who they were and generally speaking DHs need to be way more geared than the other classes to be comparable I know for sure that theprohacker did it, probably some others have done it as well but I don't watch their streams. In the end all the top geared people of each class who are able to do these things all have essentially BiS items so I wouldn't say the DHs are more geared than other classes.

I tried out mp10...I found it hard to kill even regular mobs So embarrasing.
So I'm currently farming around mp2, which still lets me one/two shot stuff and makes me feel good, could probably try the higher levels, but I think my gear is kinda low for it.

i think im gonna buy a cheap manticore for under like 5m.
what's more important?
something with around 1.1k-1.2k dps w/ crit dmg + socket or something around 950-1k w/ crit dmg + 2 sockets

I think the 1.2k dps is better? Well, it depends on how much of your damage is from crit damage. You're going to have to use a damage calculator to find out. To make the maths simple, let's say you have 50% crit chance and 400% crit damage with a single socket 1k dps manticore. You can either get an extra 100% crit damage with an extra socket or get a 20% increase in dps. So the question is what does the extra crit damage do for you? Let's say you fire 1 shot. If you don't crit (50% chance), you do 100% damage. If you crit, you do 500% damage (base 100 + 400 extra). so on average you do 300% damage per shot. If you increase your crit damage by 100%, you do 100% if you fail to crit and now do 600% if you do crit, for an average of 350% damage per shot, that's a 1/7 increase or about 14%. Having a 1.2k dps manticore increases both your crit and non-crit damage since it affects your base. Plus you save money on a 100% crit damage gem if you don't already have one, which you can put towards getting a better manticore.

First of all, i'm glad that someone with such a great enthusiasm as Pokebunny is running this thread now.
Second of all. I've been playing quite a lot but haven't found a way to get better gear than the one I'm wearing. I'm not sure where to go next, or what to upgrade, as i'm not quite certain of what should my priorities be. Anyone with a suggestion? I would appreciate it a lot.

Thanks a lot for your time and patience.

I have a question regarding Shadow power. I am not familiar with the mechanics at all so i seek the help from the veterans here.
In 1.0.4 if i used shadow power before trail of cinders, the lifesteal from SP would apply to the damage done by my ToC.
In the current patch, I've switched from ToC to Sentry, and i realise that using SP before/after i put my sentry down does not give me the lifesteal when my sentry does damage, does anyone know if this is intended or could possibly be a bug? My sentry is killing me against reflect damage elites and SP doesn't seem to overcome this, kinda annoying

(20% -> 15% lifesteal, 65% -> 35% damage reduced)

Watching that demon hunter is so depressing.
He is barely making a difference at all in his 4 man even with the best gear while his barbarian friend is basically doing all of the work.
Looks like this game is still Barbarian and the 4 follower classes. Actually monks look ok.

Kinda up to personal preference at that point as in if you want to continue upgrading all stats upgrades will be running into the several million. The least expensive things I would do after that is get an amulet with higher crit and crit damage even it it means lower dex, you can search for one w/ an open socket to get a relatively cheap one. And I'd also get a helmet with an open socket, drop the vit and all resist and get one with slightly more dex/crit and an os, ruby is a must for lvling and you can put an amythest in it when doing ubers. After that maybe inna's temperence (pants) and 2-pc natalyas and a low end vile ward. In addition to always keeping an eye out for a better bow, I prefer xbows myself.

DH's hatred is the slowest recharging damage resource among the 3 ranged classes, so in prolonged combat with no space in-between to regen hatred, dh do pitiful damage.

The rewards from monster power doesn't scale as fast as monster hitpoints do. If you are, say, clearing MP6 with devouring/cluster, wouldn't dropping 2-3 levels to use evasive/multishot/ball lightning be more efficient?
