Using the GF gear (68% unbuffed), I just finished a run from start of Act 3 Hell to Seigebreaker. Got me around 150k gold in an hour not counting small stuff I'm gonna sell on AH. Are there any better runs I could be doing pre-Inferno? I don't want to go through Inferno Butcher runs with this char just yet.

Nightmare's better, allows you to go all out GF gear, you 1 shot everything with multishot aside from elites, and you can spam vault and SS like a mofo just to move thru the Act quickly coz nothing there should kill you. Nets you about 50-70k gold per 15-20 mins depending on your max disc and spammability of mobility skills. Loot blues to vendor, ignore the rares. (Identifying slows you down) Start of at Heart of Sin and make your way to Azmodan.

But my run has very little elite killing with actual 5 stack up sometimes, are there other good places I can add to the run to make it better? And pony level, I spent 2 hours yesterday getting all the mats and plan, then upgraded it to inferno for what seems to have been close to 3 million gold, but is this worth something in terms of farming? Seemed horribly hard to me. My defensive stats aren't that bad for a tanky-gloom-DH i think, 330 RA, 31k hp, 3.3k armor, but everything hits for 90%+ of my hp, and while I was able to kill a pack of elite flowers, elite ponies seem impossible. I ran into 3 of them, 2 were invunerable minions (=impossible), the last one was random stuff like molten, shielding and stuff, seemed like nothing I could do, they're naturally too fast and hit too hard. Is there a tactic (or even exploit) I may be missing to farm this place? I developed a pretty solid Act 2 route between the nether tentacles nerf and rebuffing act 3 loot. Black Canyon Mines - 1-3 packs (95% of the time there is one or two almost within vision of waypoint) Khasim Outpost - (optional), sometimes alot of walking to find packs, but sometimes treasure goblin just SW of waypoint Road to Alcarnus - Guaranteed one quick pack, common Treasure goblin Sewers of Caldeum - Guaranteed one quick pack Path / Dalghurs Oasis - Between 3-6 packs. This is where you make hay. Start in path, just run past any whites until you find elite packs. Kill, or kite back towards WP if necessary. Should find one or two near Path WP, then go to Dalghurs and troll around there. Another one or two around, as ewll as a couple of dungeon spawns and the ruins (I think is here). Ancient Path / Desolate Sands - I usually just run past whites, find the first pack / dungeon I can, snipe it, and get out. I get annoyed by the mobs in this area. But I really should start making an effort to find vault then run it Archives - I'll go down all 3 of the dungeons and generally just kill the first mob pack, TP out, and on to next. Sometimes I'll go further if first mob pack is real close Comes out to 10-13 packs in 35 minutes for me, around 24-30 rares (187% base MF with NV, 307% base with MF gear / NV). A legendary or set item every 200 rares (I track all drops in a spreadsheet, thats the aggregated drop rate for both combined in act 2 for me since 1.03). Just remember - this is act 2. Don't fight white mobs, you dont have to. Maybe lay a caltrops down to stop the train but thats it. Find the packs, exterminate, keep moving. If anyone wants to post a nice Act 3 pack route I would be appreciative. Right now I am going 3-5 stacks in keep (depending on the amount of BS affixes I get on soul rippers and demon thingies), 3-4 stacks outside arreat gate (my favorite area), try to find some low hanging fruit around rakkis crossing, underbridge, then siegebreaker. Not that efficient, but it is all I have for now

Create with quest to kill Azmodan. - Core of arreat, full clear (1-3 elites). - Tower of cursed lvl 1 full clear (2 elites) - Tower of cursed lvl 2 full clear (2 elites) - Arreat crater lvl 2, take waypoint look on your right for elite, if not then skip. (0-1 elite) - Tower of damned lvl 1 full clear (2 elites) - Tower of damned lvl 2 full clear (2 elites) - Heart of the damned full clear (2-3 elites). - Arreat crater lvl 1, take waypoint look on your right for elite (0-1 elite). - Rakkis crossing, look on your left (stairs), if no elite continue, clear until siegebreak checkpoint, look up on the left and right stairs (eltie sometimes) look for Underbridge dungeon (0-3 elites) - Keep depths lvl 1 look for elite on your right, if not, skip (0-1 elite) - Keep depths lvl 2 look for elite around the entrance (0-1 elite) - Keep depths lvl 3 look for elite backward (0-1 elite) - Bridge of Korsikk, go backward to the battlegrounds. look at the event in the middle of the map If Cryder then do it. If Foundry, go take resp upstairs look at the event on east / south / west of the map. If Forward barracks then do it. kill the occasionnal elites on your way (1-4 elites) Tower of the cursed / damned is what takes the most time (average 20-25 min), dying is really annoying as you have to run the whole map. If you are well-geared, you should average 2-4 mins per level in Tower of the cursed/damned. everything else is done under 5-10 mins EDIT : DONT FORGET AZMODAN AT THE END (I forget 80% of the time)

A legendary or set item every 200 rares (I track all drops in a spreadsheet, thats the aggregated drop rate for both combined in act 2 for me since 1.03). nice route. seams effective. but the 1 legedary every 200 rare look suspicious. I drop 8 legendary since i start playing, this include leveling all char to 60 + 1 (another serveur), and playing with all act 1 and 2 inferno, and with only one act 3 and 4. but maybe i only drop 1600 rare

I got exactly one legendary until 60. I am not sure if it has been buffed, or if inferno has higher drop rates for it. But over my last 2700 rares I have generally been between 0.4% and 0.6% on combined legendary / set drops. That is all inferno act 1-3, with magic find generally mid 200% or higher One weird thing is that of those about 15 legendary / set or so (dont have my spreadsheet here at work) I think 11 of them came from Act 1 either Cursed hold or the screen before it. Probably just a random coincidence... but maybe that level is just buffed hard on those. I got oranges on consecutive runs there once edit: its 11 oranges 4 sets I think for anyone else who tries to track drop rates for these things

I'm gonna continue with this as my main gold farming route till I get bored of it or find a better one ^^ Thanks a lot for the advice.

My run is Cemetery -> Weeping Hollow (possibly Cave) -> Festering Woods -> Watchtower (if there) -> Warden + Butcher run. I usually get about 150k gold per run, in about 45 minutes. If it's a bad run with very few Elite mobs, maybe 120k. Not sure what the major difference is. Usually get 1.5 inventory for Cemetery + Weeping, almost full for Festering, full for watchtower (if it's a high elite spawn), and 2 inventories for Warden + Butcher.

I only pick up ilvl 61+ blues, and ilvl 61+ rares (any level rings/amu) I've Found the best route for act 1 is: 1) Festering (3-4 NV stacks from this) 2) Cemetery (higher chance of goblins then festering, and a quick 5+ packs) 3) Northern Highlands - Go north to watch tower (70% chance of spawn, high chance of goblin, 3 packs, and 100% chance at resplendent chests) 4) Leorics Manner + Hunting Grounds (chance of goblins, and 3-4 packs) 5) Halls lvl 2 to warden 6) Halls lvl 3 to butcher There is a trick when going through the halls lvl 2 to get to the highlands passage quickly. Go South-East from the check point as far as you can go, always trying to go east, until you hit the passage area. I have never NOT found it going as far south east as possible from checkpoint. I honestly get the best drops, but worst stats on my rares. I got 5x ilvl 63 weapons on 1 run yesterday (200% mf without NV stacks, takes 30-40mins per run), all of them got 0 dps adding stats. 300-500 dps rares. Sucks when you are so excited getting one of those, hoping to get 1M+ weapons to justify the runs.

Start at second heart(kill cydaea) Fortified bunker at arreat gate, 4-6 packs + guaranteed res chest keep lvl 1-3, 2-3 packs per level Tower of the cursed lvl 1 + 2, 4 packs in total on average Spider for easy 2 rares Core of arreate, then az Takes about 45 mins in total, and i get about 30 rares/5ish ilvl 63 per run

Gloom is what you use default, you can tank a lot of stuff with it (65% damage reduction and 20% lifeleech), SS reserved for those tight spots like you describe, when you get jailed with arcane lasers around you, vortexed into a big pack or a billion Frozen orbs are around you about to explode.

Nightmare's better, allows you to go all out GF I just try nightmare run. For money, i will only do that now. It was so fast that i entierly clear act 3 (starting quest siegebreaker, but i start by the cave then go out and kill everything, every instance.) i didnt kill the mob for the first quest (catapult / fire). it took me 1h20 to empty all and kill azmodan., loot all item blue/yellow and sold all (exept one ring with GF better than mine) (playing one handed looking at NASL and IGNproleage, smoking and chating) 275 % GF with NV little more than 550k. definitly the best run / time for me. one shooting everything with multishoot, 2 shoot for boss (HH).

The set bonuses are nice... but it seems like for the 50-70M you need to get a complete set you could have far superior gear in rares (IE make up crit chance partially on helm, higher dext rolls in all slots, etc) The Natalya's souls never seem to have great rolls, and for the 30M min you need to get a Natalya's mark you can get way better rings. I know the general concensus seems to be to build the Natalya's set, but I would like to understand it's relative benefits over other best in slot region rares. Anyone care to weigh in? Related question... any other high level inferno DH's still run Lacuni's and Inquisitor? I've got top versions -- Inquisitor 5 decrease on impale hatred, max rolls on other good stuff for both. But even at max rolls for those items I still give up a ton of stats at those slots for the benefits of the movement speed (totally spoiled by 25% movement bonus). Should I cut the cord and move on to a Natalya's Shadow / high end rare bracers, or are they still viable in Act 3 / 4 inferno? edit: my build http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#bRXYVZ!YTe!YZZbba yeah impale and elemental arrow. But impale knockback / stun is real nice when an elite gets through my caltrops firing zone, and I've got it bound to mouse wheel which makes it feel like I'm flicking a knife out so its kind of super fun haha

I farm act 1 solo. I play with friends on act 2/3. I have a couple of bids on pants and chest armor with more vita and/or all resist. Both my rings are pretty shitty too but all the ring on AH seem so bad for their price. I don't want to be able to tank everything, my role is mostly dps as we have 1 barb and 1 monk in the group.
