What? Im sorry, but I remember that week after release I was farming Skeleton king runs on hell making 120k gold in hour - week after release!!! Imagine what gear I had (I remember 6k dps....) - but the truth is gems had little different value back then i dunno...
Not to mention that Dark Cellar runs are still not fixed and my DH can make 500k in hour there with 265 EG%.
60-75k in hour is totally waste of time.

Remember, they nerfed pots in act1, but still you should be able to do warden butcher runs in 15 mins and be making 50-60k per run there. Im sure there are better spots than that (without having to resort to dank runs - cause thats just mind numbingly boring)

Week after release I had no idea how much gold you can get from pots so I was skipping them... I was talking about 100-120k in regular boss runs, just farming everything on my way to SK (again: on hell).
I strongly suggest to put some of your DPS to your stash and return to hell with some GF gear. Game is much more fun on hell than on inferno anyway, especially with DH (I consider DH most boring class cause its mostly all about dogde/smoke screen abuse on inferno - but on hell it can be fun)
I have friend who made 500k gold in 6h on nightmare (without NV - and its on hardcore). Man, 75k in hour is really waste of time. Any location in game you can clean resonably fast should give you at least 100k in hour, anwhere further than A3 nm...

As for the gold thing im going off a bit of blurry memory here since i havent been doing this for a while since the drop rate change, and i had like 0 GF when doing that lol

just a little question: how do you guys deal with hulking phasebeast champ packs with bad properties nowadays? i just had one with shielding, fast and arcane enchanted. couldnt do anything about it, so i parked them at the stairs to the cydea level, but then i encountered another phasebeast champ pack on my way to azmodan, which prevented me from finishing my run.
basically, whenever there are 2 packs of them i cant finish azmodan.
any suggestions that dont involve either getting 300k dps or a 4 piece natalyas as both is out of reach for me?

thanks. i can run through pretty much anywhere on hell (mostly in act 3) and make 100k in approx an hour just working off getting 5NV and clearing areas. i'll keep plugging away at that and hopefully manage my gold a little better :p appreciate all the feedback!

You're probably dying too much and losing money on repairs. I die 2-3 times at most while clearing a run.

no, he just say nonesens.
without any Gold Find, fast butcher run (less than 40 minutes) donc get you more than 70k. and to get any item that you can sell to 1M, you need to be very lucky.

film yourself doing a butcher run (a fast one) without any GF and getting this king of money, maybe i start to believe.

Festering Woods > Leoric Manor > Halls of Agony 2 > Warden > Halls 3 > Butcher > Cemetery > Fields of Misery
My usual route. I also pick up all blues and vendor.
Takes me about an hour.
You want your runs to be as long as possible to minimise the inefficient time spent gathering NV stacks on a new run. Fields of Misery is the least efficient of my spots, which is why it's last and I skip it when I don't feel like doing it. What's good about it is it has 2 resplendent chests and at times gobos which I find nice for gems.

You generally don't consistently get 1m items. But in my experience every 15 runs or so among the stuff that sells for about 300-400k, I get something that sells very high (10m) which massively pulls up the average.
I don't care if you don't believe anything. ROFL.

I've made it through act 1 inferno relatively easily, but act 2 seems to be kicking my ass a bit. just looking for what items should be upgraded first, specific needs, etc. my first thought is my resistances all seem way too low, but not sure the best way to go about pumping those up....also maybe there are other glaring gear upgrades required. any help advice would be appreciated <3 ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/e8tSy.jpg) ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/Phu6A.jpg) edit - as you can likely tell i was hit kinda hard by the ias nerf and not sure how to recover from that. my rings and amulet were a steal at the time, but now not sure whatb to replace them with. edit2 - also note my money....i'm super poor. please keep that in mind when suggesting gear upgrades i suggest getting rings with crit dmg on it for a start. other than that, a weapon upgrade will be great when you have enough gold. While doing that, imo you should farm act 1 in the mean time. There was a guide at reddit on farming act 1, i forgot the link but it was pretty good. basically it is 1)Port to the northern highlands and go west and see if there is a watchtower, if not, reset 2)Go to festering woods and clear the 2 guaranteed instances, if you meet an elite grp on the way go for it 3)Go to the cemetery and clear the 3 guaranteed dungeons. Just kill 1 elite gorup and move on to the next to save time 4)Go to leoric's manor and there is a guaranteed elite group outside 5)Do butcher run if done right, it should take 40 mins or so, and if you dont die, by vendoring blues etc you can earn like 40-50k each run Not sure how you're only getting 40-50k...I get 3x that amount. how u get 3x the amount? 40-50k is the average amount i got,are u wearing GF? Not wearing GF, I get about 150k in gold per Butcher run, plus rares on average I'm making about 1m+ per run. You're probably dying too much and losing money on repairs. I die 2-3 times at most while clearing a run. lol- I never die while doing butcher runs and i get maybe 50-70 k per run. (I do the tower, cemetary and butcher.) Man, do i feel like a noob now Ah explains it now. My runs are longer. Festering Woods > Leoric Manor > Halls of Agony 2 > Warden > Halls 3 > Butcher > Cemetery > Fields of Misery My usual route. Show nested quote +On July 04 2012 18:05 zedrOne wrote: Man, do i feel like a noob now
no, he just say nonesens. without any Gold Find, fast butcher run (less than 40 minutes) donc get you more than 70k. and to get any item that you can sell to 1M, you need to be very lucky. Not wearing GF, I get about 150k in gold per Butcher run, plus rares on average I'm making about 1m+ per run.
You're probably dying too much and losing money on repairs. I die 2-3 times at most while clearing a run. film yourself doing a butcher run (a fast one) without any GF and getting this king of money, maybe i start to believe. You generally don't consistently get 1m items. But in my experience every 15 runs or so among the stuff that sells for about 300-400k, I get something that sells very high (10m) which massively pulls up the average. I don't care if you don't believe anything. ROFL. Dont you have to chose one quest, like butcher OR warden etc? How can you do both in the same run?
oh i get it, you do them in order. I will try that later today!

it's a bit off topic, speaking about run time / efficiency.
just do a full run like you say. with a WD (i have all char 60 with decent gear to do act 1 inferno, but WD got the most MF and GF) without NV i got something like 110 GF and 70 MF. not so good, but better than nothing.
i'm only at 15 k DMG, but i kill everything very very fast. run all the time with spirit walk. it took me more than 1h30 to do everything. die only once but since most of my gear is indestructible, cost me only 2000 gold.
got almost 120 k from gold / sell (i sell all blue) didn't find any decent item to sold on AH
You say do all that in less than one hour and get more gold without gold find... so yes, i'm not a believer, and i dont see the point of telling bullshit on a forum where people are here to help each other.
but you right, you need to make longer run to be more efficient for magic find, for gold only, i prefere playing poney level in hell with a full Gold find stuff, much more efficient than inferno. just rush some elite before entering poneyland (cimetery/woods) and kill everything in poneyland, it take less than 40 minutes, and you do more than 150 k gold. and with a lot of luck you can even find a level 62 decent item (dont count on it !)
if what you want / need is item for AH, go act 3.

basically, whenever there are 2 packs of them i cant finish azmodan.
any suggestions that dont involve either getting 300k dps or a 4 piece natalyas as both is out of reach for me? i have 4 piece natalyas and even i skip them. its not worth the time. they are close to impossible for a DH and i would die do often.

Witch Doctors are basically weaker versions of Demon Hunters so I'm not sure why you would use it to account.
I also doubt you're killing stuff very fast with 15k damage. For reference, I have 43k.
And I have about 170% MF in gear without NV. More MF = More useless yellows to vendor too.
And of course you lose out in pure gold income if you skip stuff with spirit walk (even non-elites).

let it go, you dont want to get what i say.
i was answering to you post saying that :
Not wearing GF, I get about 150k in gold per Butcher run, plus rares on average I'm making about 1m+ per run.
You're probably dying too much and losing money on repairs. I die 2-3 times at most while clearing a run.
and that's bullshit. no more no less.

You're probably dying too much and losing money on repairs. I die 2-3 times at most while clearing a run. and that's bullshit. no more no less. Yeah I don't die at all there but I'm still never getting more than 80k per run. Run is festering > Leoric outside > Cemetary crypts > halls lvl 2 clear.
But 2 questions:
For a lvl 2 run, I do Vault (if I logged out there, otherwise do it last), this place is the best, 5+ packs always, then road of Alcarnus town, canyon mines, and Desolate Sands to find Vault of Assassin. But my run has very little elite killing with actual 5 stack up sometimes, are there other good places I can add to the run to make it better?
And pony level, I spent 2 hours yesterday getting all the mats and plan, then upgraded it to inferno for what seems to have been close to 3 million gold, but is this worth something in terms of farming? Seemed horribly hard to me. My defensive stats aren't that bad for a tanky-gloom-DH i think, 330 RA, 31k hp, 3.3k armor, but everything hits for 90%+ of my hp, and while I was able to kill a pack of elite flowers, elite ponies seem impossible. I ran into 3 of them, 2 were invunerable minions (=impossible), the last one was random stuff like molten, shielding and stuff, seemed like nothing I could do, they're naturally too fast and hit too hard. Is there a tactic (or even exploit) I may be missing to farm this place?

Ponies got nerfed hard - drops are shitty now. People used to clear then sell chests for 150k or so. Also the exploit (there was a glitch spot where they get stuck) got fixed.
Personally what I'm doing right now is clearing Act 3 (takes about an hour and a half, I have full nats set w/ 90k dps w/ ss), but leave single elites for each one. Sell spots, make on average 8m per 3 hours.

On my tank DH, the only packs I have to skip are invulnerable minions with jailer+frozen/arcane/desacrator or something stupid. I can do any other pack of phasebeasts just fine. I have about 600 all res, 33k dps, 40k hp.
