I remember in D1, with my wizard, we hit a dead end, and I cast successive fire walls to push him into the end and then roasted him alive. Absolutely priceless.

They already stated that they wont add PKing. They didn't like that system and moreover most casuals get butthurt when stuff like that happens. Blizz caters to the casuals a lot because they are the majority.

That's subjective, to call people casuals because they don't enjoy PK is a bold statement which is actually far from the truth. Call them "chicken" if you want, the fact is they just don't like it... there is not much correlation between enjoying PK and the time you spend in the game or your skill.

If you enjoy PvP there still is the arena. If you won't use it or think it's lame hey that's a full circle now you're the one that doesn't like something or is afraid of it

Me I don't care, never played public games just with friends and the occasional PK was fine among us. I'm ok with their decision.

thats maybe the biggestm gripe for me about d3. i dont care much for seperate arena crap with different effects and whatever. i just want some oldschool real pk.

and lets be honest. in the end its a "lets avoid casual QQ" design decision.

Why wouldn't they just have a simple setting whenever you start up a game. You can check the ability to pk outside the arena on or off for your game.

I wouldn't imagine that would hurt the millions of casuals out there too badly.

Thats the part that confuses me. There are plenty of PvP servers in WoW, where you get to pk whenever you want, pending on the zone status. Its not like something like this would be hard to implement, and since its optional, they wouldnt need to bother balancing around it either...

Either way though, as a HC player who insta-quits whenever someone hostiles in a game, I am ashamed to say that I'm happy with the change >_>

from my memory it's just like any other d2,d3 difficulty. where the stages and acts are just repeats with the difficulty scaled accordingly. however, you get better drops and the best runestones can only be obtained in inferno. someone correct me if i was wrong

Actually Doraemon is a bit wrong (above me).

Inferno is a tad different than "just another 4th difficulty".

They are aiming for you to be at level max (60) before you reach inferno mode. In inferno EVERY monsters will be level 61 from act 1 to act 4 (whereas I think in D2 the max level of a monster was 85 or something).

They want to do this to make Inferno overall a challenge BUT also make it so any zone is as rewarding than any other, to avoid runs on the end guy over and over.
I can't exactly remember if Bosses will be different or not...

Inferno will drop the best gear available (Inferno gear).

It's impossible to say how hard it will be until we try it, Blizzard wants to make it hard though and I would not be surprised if it requires to play coop to get through it (until you are overstuff).

In other words, Inferno IS the end game, you reach the end of your leveling at the end of hell and then you try the end game content: Inferno mode.
Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.

i would imagine there's no cap on how many you can have at one time but rather how many you can cast before they start to despawn (after 9 seconds). this is just speculation of course but it seems logical if you look at similar skills (plague of toads for example).

This is GREAT news (like Heroics in WoW). Farming a single zone over and over in D2 was depressing.

I saw a Blue post that said they are aiming for Inferno to be soloable. Don't take this to mean EASY, just that it would be "possible" to do it solo. I'm looking forward to it.

Can several of your characters on your account have same nickname?

since names are not unique globally maybe they are not even unique per account?

I think I saw a stream where the guy's character names were all the same. That or they were very close to being the same that I didn't notice. I'll work on getting a screenshot.

When this guy chooses a character for the AH all of the names are the same.

Yes any or all of your characters can have identical names.

currently no, but there have been suggestions on the forums for account statistics like this.

I'm sure in general this is true, however in the beta, you can craft 1-h weapons with more dps than any 2-h weapons can get, AND they have a great mod (+25-35% crit damage).

These are for Beta but expect approximatly the same for release (only HDD space should be very different)
Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.

Those are so old, kind of ridiculous what minimum is.
What does it matter how I loose it?

Well yeah Blizzard is reknown to make games that will run on the vast majority of specs.

Their games are never at the top of graphics technology in the end but it's for the best. They compensate by trying to have graphics that ages well though.

I'll bet you atleast 40% of the system specifications in the whole world are way under that
Never Regret anything because at one time it was exactly what you wanted.
