Obviously you can make a hot character without being thirsty. It is indeed irritating how you automatically assume that and can not even imagine there can be other reasons.
Also I dont get how you guys call making hot characters "weird" and "unusual" while also pointing out how the majority of players does it.
Further your own posts seems rather contradictory with how you first judge people for their character choice and then tell us how you dont care about it.

This conversation is veering into iffy territory and people should be mindful of statements that might be coming into "personal attack" territory.
Character creation is always going to involve a lot of personal choice and games should be a safe place to choose your own personal fantasy, whatever that means. There is some worth in noting that limited options in character creation has us working with characterized versions of male and female forums that are simply not representative of real life nor are they intended to be.
Having said that, I personally am a 6’2, thirsty, 30-something year old male of somewhat athletic physic who plays a gnome warlock primarily. I enjoy spending my time in game mounted on the new dreadwake ship-mount with a pirate hat only equipped. Please judge me accordingly.

Are these the items that come after reaching 500 Conquest points in a week? That would make intuitive sense to me. However, I am still getting 355 iLvl even after reaching 1600 (and winning a game in the bracket). There is also a blue post somewhere that says it is always 355 after the initial 345 weapon. I started late in the expansion (after an 8 year break) and while catching up on gear was pretty easy, I am now at 357. With only one guaranteed 370+ drop per week, that could take a while.
the items that come from conquest cap are always 355. you can upgrade them with sigils, but that is it.
The weekly azerite item lvl refers to the weekly cache. It 'can' have an azerite piece in it. If it does those are the ilvls, they are not the same as non-azerite item ilvls. because azerite gear only has certain ilvl ranges. m+ cache is same way.
if you 100% pvp only and do nothing else. It is very ez to gear to ~360. To get higher than that easily you have to be quite good and play at the very high ratings.
Practically speaking you should at least do m0s and WQs if nothing else to farm the azerite traits that you want they matter a lot. iLvL is less important than having the right traits almost 100% of the time in arena because of scaling. Don't try to 'game' the system imo with low gear but traits and proper stats are relatively more valuable in pvp over pve because your ilvl basically scales.
Anyways ive only played with rl friends and am just rival on two chars but thats def how the rewards work.

Tbh people's fixation in how they create their characters is way weirder then anyones personal character creation choices.

The thing is I don't really think wanting to make your character hot/cute is necessarily an indication that you are "thirsty". Now if you disagree that is completely fine. Regardless my point about there being tons of males who make female characters for reasons other than being hot/cute still stands.

Ive never gone beyond like 20-30 ping on any US server, and this is pretty standard for when I do on occasion play with friends in OC. Ive played 150-200+ ping US to EU back in the day but im spoilt now so Im really triggered.. Ill sleep on it and look at it later. cba to troubleshoot right now. Unless someone knows an easy fix.
Edit: My ping is fixed and Underrot is back to being a joke. The 10 I did was pretty easy even after the tank ninjapulled a big pack that wiped us on explosive and fucked up his count and overkilled some stuff.

Thank you for clearing that up. That helped a lot. WQs and Islands are on the agenda. I really do not have time for Mythics right now, but maybe later.
On another note, PvP has gotten so much more refined, players at low levels are so much better than when I played. I am sure I have gotten slower and worse during the last 8 years of not playing. But struggling at 1500 rating never happend back then. I was always hovering around 2000-2200 with my serious teams.
1629 in 2s with Rogue / Resto Shaman right now, still climbing and still having fun.

A lot of stuff said over there is concerning. Can't trust the guild guys much really but i trust Blizzard even less after their history of incidents that were their fault and trash tier customer support that were unable to even start fixing them over the last 2-3 expansions.
Last year they permabanned a bunch of people for queueing into the wrong RBG team, replied with copy/pasted responses to most of their appeals and then told them never to contact blizzard again. That example was reverted after a lot of community attention (and they gave them 30 days sub as "compensation"..) but this sort of questionable incident happens way too often for comfort and a lot of the time there is no recourse.
It's hard to honestly invest thousands of hours and hundreds of £ into a game if this can happen to you and your friends

Don't be part of a guild that sells runs for real money. problem solved. I'm not worried for even a microsecond.

I found out in Legion that one of my ex-guildies (same guild at the time) sold multiple runs for real money while in the same PUG HFC hc groups as me, i didn't know and couldn't have avoided that. The rest of us were just doing weekly clears for gear and hopefully warforge/socket with whoever was online, a bunch of people from the group finder and an occasional friend invited.
I invited my friend one time just to chill on TS, see the bosses/lore and get his moose because he stopped playing actively after Highmaul; other guildies did similar. We weren't running ilvl 740, week 1 curve or GTFO groups because they weren't required to walk through Heroic for our warforges and sockets.
At no point was there anything sanctioned or even discussed involving real money with the guild management; i was an officer and that guy was just a regular raider doing his own thing.
If the standard is that you have to kill a boss while in the same raid group and guild as somebody who is breaking rules to get a 6 month ban yourself then it's simply not high enough.

welcome to life. Shit isn't fair and Blizzard banning you is not a court of law.

So your policy is to accept that shit happens outside of your control and not play WoW any more if you got banned because of it?

And that is assuming all the shit the Reddit post talks about is even true. And people that get banned and cry on Reddit rarely tell the truth. So now we're up to an astronomically small chance.
I don't let my life be dictated by astronomically small chances. I would be curled up in a fetal ball of I did.

I dont really trust the Honestly guys either but as i explained a few pages ago it is incredibly easy to be a in a boostrun with someone selling for real money without you knowing. Hell the random pug you join for ghuun that has 370 as requirement and you see that one guy on 340 it might as well be the raidleader selling for gold but it could also just as well be for real money.

Good plan, it would just have a large impact on my life personally if any of my main daily activities (mostly built out for various needs in life, health, social stuff etc) had to stop without good reason, WoW included.

This too for alts

I checked some numbers as well: There are ~1104 alliance guilds past mythic MOTHER and ~2434 horde guilds, that imbalance increases as progression does. It's similar for Mythic+ keystones at level 12 or so.
82.4% of the top 1000 m+ runs are horde but this is still looking at fairly high level keys (16)

These people play 10h a day. So when you are alliance and finish a 16 key your run is rank 10 but then you look at 1-9 and its the same group having 9 different runs of the same key making it look like 90% of the m+ runs are horde.

If Blizzard hates carries so much then raiding shouldn't be so expensive. There's no way that a competitive guild can farm all the augment runes it needs (and other consumables and gold for repair) AND fully gear up their characters (and farm sufficient azerite, rep, or whatever is relevant for the current tier). It's also kind of ridiculous to expect them to farm things themselves since the only way to farm augment runes, for example, is from satchels. If all the top raiders actually did play tank/heals in random heroic dungeons at the beginning of the expansion to farm augment runes, there wouldn't actually be any satchels available.
Remove the need for raiders to have a lot of gold and the remaining people still selling carries are much more likely to be doing it for real money (have to remove tokens too).
Honestly the WoW economy sucks they should just kill it. Remove gold, use bind-on-pickup currencies for everything. There shouldn't be any competitive disadvantage in progression content when a player doesn't farm trivial content. The best way to progress your character should come from constantly doing challenging content. Some people like farming though so give them rewards of pets, mounts, transmog, etc.
In an ideal MMO, a healthy economy would be a cool feature. But every MMO shouldn't feel required to try it. It almost always ends up being bad and causes people to do things for currency that they don't enjoy doing and also causes people to have things that they didn't earn through gameplay. How's that good for a game? It's a double negative. But that's the way it always ends up. WoW's economy is broken beyond repair.
