I'm leveling at a slow pace since I am only able to put in a few hours a day, but I am wondering if people are getting multiple sets of Azergear so they can spec swap without paying a bunch for the resets. I was bouncing around specs to level as and didn't realized your choice gets locked in at first. I'm loving the small QOL change with the new power items just getting auto-absorbed but I am kinda missing the experience of the Artifact Weapons. I liked how they had a bit of lore attached to them and the quests to unlock Artifacts had us bouncing around all sorts of content. This new system feels super tame by comparison though I do like that there is a bit more choice and not another grid to grind and unlock. | ||

I personally like the story lines a lot more, despite loving Legion's story lines. Playing through the Horde zones at a slow pace has been very enjoyable. Each zone and each major threat feels unique compared to each other even though they all tie into one another. They also managed to do something no game has ever done for me before which is make a vast desert zone enjoyable. Vol'dun was also my least favorite zone in beta and I did not enjoy it at all, so to have such a turn around for me is quite something. I have only done questing aside from doing the dungeons whenever I finish each zone and have come across enough azerite armor for at least 2 sets if not 3, but I am at 119 and they did tie plenty of pieces to major chapters of each zone. I don't really miss the artifact weapons too much to be honest. I felt they had a satisfying, if a bit predictable, conclusion. I do agree that the new system is very tame though and that they could have gone way crazier with the traits. We'll have to see if they go that direction as they add more pieces though, but in its current state, the azerite armor system leaves a lot to be desired. | ||

 reached iLVL 315 and tried a bit off all the Content it has to over. I am looking forward to Mythic Dungeons especially. Will try to clear em all Friday / Saturday!!! If anyone wants to join please hit me up on EU / Horde | ||

The thing is, you MUST have a good weapon for your spec for it to be viable. If no weapon drops for ages, you basically can't use the spec. This is a nightmare for dual wield specs. I intended to focus on Assassination as a rogue, but I've had to spec out into Subtlety because I can't get two daggers. | ||

GCD change plays a role in that but mostly from the removal of traits and abilities tied to the artefact weapon and legendaries. Just one ability alone, my Avengers Shield, lost its healing component which accounted for ~40% of my selfheal, lost its AOE dmg component and now only hits 3 targets rather than 5. I also lost a ridiculously large aoe burst spell on 45s cd with nothing in return. Overall im not really enjoying the gameplay right now and i generally dont really care about wows lore anyway. Personally wish they'd just revert the GCD changes, its something i can get used to doing but its super fucking frustrating needlessly so at that. Like i pop recklessness, a 10 second buff, then have to waste 2-3 seconds of it to use it. like wtf? | ||

This is a nightmare for dual wield specs Main hand wep is like twice as important as offhand though. I bought a 350 on day 1, their price will fall off a cliff as soon as the raid opens. You can pass down your main hand to your off hand each time you upgrade it. I don't have it so bad on the DH - both specs use the same weapons, dual 1h's | ||

I am doing normal dungeons now with my old artifact, hoping that a weapon drops at some point. :D It is strange how even with the worst gear imaginable normal dungeons seem like a complete joke. | ||

I think they have considerably lowered the power of weapons though, so they are not quite as important as in the past. I think they're still really important, checking a few numbers now. They made the power scaling a lot more consistent and took warforge/titanforge off of them. ![[image loading]](https://i.imgur.com/n2eRwzi.png) Off-hand way less important than even i thought according to simc and DPS difference for different weapons way lower than before. The bar looks big, but a huge jump in weapon ilvl is 50 weapon DPS. We have thousands of Agility. | ||

I don't particulary miss artifact weapons but I do feel this expansion feels empty in terms of gaining more power and by power I mean abilities. You effectivey gain 0 abilities going from 110 to 120 and that just feels sad, Azerite Armor is supposed to fill that gap maybe but it just doesn't do the job Also when I die after pulling 7 mobs at the same time and try to aoe them and I die and Bwonsami tells me haha got in over your head didnt you? me: ;; | ||
