Well seeing your quote I've decided to give it a try. After 24 hours of pure grinding I'm not so sure about that "it's not that bad" quote . I've been stuck in Suramar and it doesn't seem to get any better. Pure Suramaritan is hell.I get their idea though, first you gotta finish everything Blizz prepared for you and only then, you can start bypassing that.

Also, what's the trick to farming wardens rep? I'm a little short of revered with them and they are the long pole in the tent right now for the flying-related achievements. Do I just continue doing Wardens world quests?

If you are playing with no rush to get to the "new" stuff then do all the Suramar if you want to, I think it's some of the best stuff and I thoroughly enjoyed it myself. Wardens is just those "WANTED" WQ's, basically they are kill 1 guy/girl-quests. Sometimes kill a bunch of stuff if it's a threat. Rather nice WQ's tbh, I enjoy them.

So, I did the whatsitcalled of valor 3-boss raid, then worked on finishing the Suramar questline. I finally finished the questline and earned the loremaster achievement, only to notice that there is a new big questline associated with unlocking the nighthold. Do I need to do it to run the nighthold on difficulties beyond LFR? Also, what's the trick to farming wardens rep? Warden world quests, Warden emissaries, and order hall missions that reward wardens rep. But yeah, the nighthold questchain, it just rewards a mount at the end, and the ability to resurrect yourself if you die in the broken isles on a 30 minute cooldown or something.

But really its kind of silly, you will do a million wqs to get rep for pathfinding, and it will be very painful. Then you will have flying and barely do the broken isles wqs anymore. Still useful for flying to m+ stones etc.

There seems to be an annoying bug for the ravencrest quest. I was sent back in memory to play as illidan, and am suppose to fix a portal, except there is nothing to interact with and I just get stuck in it...

Google the quest and read the comments when a quest is unclear or bugged.

Think you can completely skip the Illidan memory stuff except you care about the lore. And world quests are good way to earn first equip but you can also do dungeons on top. Queue up for hc dungeons once your item level is high enough, then do mythic dungeons if a group is willing to take you (each dungeon only once per week as mythic ), then mythic+. Doing m+ as high as possible (up to +10) gives you a very good reward in a weekly chest. Doing M+ dungeons is the first thing that requires some experience though so prepare to get flamed by randoms or do it with friends. Also you can queue up for lfr raids as far as your item lvl allows you. They are mind-numbingly boring though but gives some equip. Also it is very beneficial to do the quest chain in Argus because it allows you to further upgrade the relics in your weapon. And finally bosses and chests on Argus give you a currency with which you can buy item lvl 910 equip of your choice. That is the best way to improve your equip and fix gaps once you have done the initial equipping. Just realized this might be a little much if your are new, so just take your time with it. Especially with the dungeons. The learning curve could feel a little wonky because it is so late in the expansion and players are generally overequipped for most stuff so often you will just be carried.

Leveling the artifact only goes into the passive with a 50 level cap right now. Yes, Relics are what determines artifact ilvl.
