Well keep in mind I think you have to get to a certain threshold to get 880s, he might have to work his way up to 880 rewards.

"With sets and cosmetic appearances we're always trying new things. We're currently not planning on carrying forward traditional raid class sets," says Hazzikostas. "So we're going to have artwise, the gear will be more heavily themed from the place it comes. There's more customization we want to express through the new Azerite system. I think class sets have changed a lot over a years of World of Warcraft. Back in the day, these 8 piece sets you would put together over the course of 6 to 8 months raiding a zone, where now the smaller sets and so many more sources of gear, it's very common to get 2 or 4 pieces at the start of a tier and it actually kind of locks down those character slots, it limits your choices. It feels like more of a drawback than a strength at this point." Options from these sets, like enhancing certain abilities, will be rolled into how the Azerite system works so that players can customize around their strengths. That's huge, i wonder how it will turn out

Ugh, I hope he reconsiders. Class sets are so iconic to WoW, and they feel so rewarding put together. I think the restriction he's talking about only felt bad because we had to deal with leggos + set so it was 8 slots that was completely blocked off.

It does remove the 'fun' of collecting a set tho. The fear becomes that to much of the carrots are taken out of the game which will drive people to get bored and quit. I can imagine there are a good number of casual players who raid (lfr or pugs) until they finish their tier set and then stop until the next raid.

Now if they changed that today there is only trinkets to hunt for in Raids vs mythic plus grinding for 955 titanforging xD Of course he said that small excerpt and the internet goes whack with omg raiding is dead wtf wow lolol as usual but im sure in the Q&A thursrday he will readdress it or if not then we will get clarification on it nearer when it is needed.

With the new system there will probably be more flexibility with regards to this stuff. But you will lose the set flavor.

"fireball deals 5% increased damage" but unless that that specific "azerite" item only drops in a raid format it will be open for anyone to have if they grind azerite or whatever. Like i said without going like the rest of people and looking silly, i need to wait for clarification and anyway for a guy who doesn't raid anymore it isn't a thing for me. Also a question to you here, has anyone been impressed with any of the tier sets in terms of "looks" in a while? I think T12 was the last tier set i genuinely liked lol.

I'm surprised at the amount of people voting for classic servers to use very early patches of vanilla - like 2004 to early 2005 vanilla rather than late 2006 with a lot of fixes and changes. They're even winning big majorities on some polls

I saw a survey (i even did it) that was on mmo champion/wow reddit holy crap it was bad xD They were asking questions like "would you pay $15 a month to level faster" - "would you prefer x1 x2 x3 x4 leveling xp rate (vanilla was x1) and the worst one "would you like them to add flying to vanilla" I mean it isn't vanilla if you start adding all this junk in, which imo most is bad the only thing i would want them to implement to help the game would be cross server BGs and maybe a LFG tool which i know some people will hate as they hated that BUT if they release say 10 servers per region (EU/US/CN etc) then after the 1st month everyone dies down playing it and you have some very low populated realms you are in alot of trouble trying to get stuff done...so thats my little argument for that. However having things many broken aka only specific classes are viable period or stupidly broken needs to be addressed with the later patch builds.

the only thing i would want them to implement to help the game would be cross server BGs They did implement those in vanilla after BG queue problems. I can't imagine why people wouldn't want them

also stuff like entire battlegrounds, dungeons, the ability to queue for multiple battlegrounds at a time, the raid lockout system that tied lockouts to the day of the week etc were added in the middle of vanilla Nostalrius was patch 1.12, like way after 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11. A lot of shit happened that was a big part of vanilla in that time Like if you go to play on vanilla for 2 years and there is no arathi basin or AV what is the point? Being slightly more classic? :D
