Gathering professions do well earlier in the expansion for getting gold by supplying the AH before you have vendors (like bloods/primals) that can sell these supplies. Crafting professions can make nice gear (you can craft some legendaries), but again as expansion goes on this gets less and less useful. Alch/Gem/Enchants typically are consistent most of the expansion, although get huge bumps when mythic opens for each raid as people need to get lots of extra consumables for raid progression. Pick 2 that will help you play. Most of mine are gathering professions and I get crafters in my guild to just make me stuff for free and I give them some extra supplies whenever they need it. | ||

Yup! Used to be Horde on Burning Steppes, then faction changed when it came out as Burning Steppes died mid WoTLK. Was cool for TBC though. | ||
