On the lower end its all fine but there are only like 5 classes that are worth playing right now because of utility + high damage output. The lower end classes arent even brought because they just do shit damage and have shit utility. Shaman, monk, dh, rets (good utility but healer pally offers the same almost). Fwiw as a healer I am totally fine with healer balance this patch.

Btw NH was also full of soak mechanics.

Some healer classes/specs have terrible representation and balance (percieved or otherwise) is a huge part of that

resto+resto+hpala > hpriest >> mw >> disc

2 priest specs split 85/15 and monk with 1/3'rd of the playerbase of every other class

disc & mw have generally been considered to be poorly designed and/or underpowered for a long time, they've had their issues going back to the Legion redesigns

Disc is really gooid currently tho ? JUst not a very popular spec, because it's a hard one and requires a bit of set up in your raid team.

But the top guilds have been using a Disc a lot recently. They're amazing to deal with the healing shield on Sisters for example.

It is about the same class distribution as it was in Nighthold although balance has changed a lot since then. Class distribution does not change this quickly which is why it is not representing the current patch balance.

I play MW myself and I think it is totally fine.
And disc is also not bad from what I hear.

From my understanding Disc isn't bad, just very difficult to play (which is intentional since if you want an easier playstyle you can go hpriest)

The recent changes to disc made the playstyle more interesting and stronger overall I think. It's just very easy to make a mistake and then it's automatically a severe mistake, so naturally a lot of players choose the more forgiving holy.

That's an excellent point. Mythic progress is quite fast to respond to this stuff, tho, and tank distribution has shifted significantly in the same timespan as percieved balance has changed

NH:

Bear: 33.53%

PPala: 16.51%
BRM: 16.13%
Blood: 15.11%

They got banned because they streamed their sales with them piloting the buyers. I'm pretty sure no other top guilds are that dumb. Then they circumvented the bans through creative means. They basically purchased a new license then had unbanned members transfer an alt to that account so they could instantly get AK40. Those are the accounts that got perma'd. Their original accounts will be unbanned in november, or they can just make a new account and level it the proper way. Really this all happened because of their stupidity.

They're not even the only guild to do that exact thing in the Tomb race (ban evasion via breaking rules for real money trading and/or character transfers between accounts), they're just the first to be banned for it

A big thing apparently that the Limit players did was make new accounts on the names of players that were not banned so they could transfer an alt across for instant AK 40.

Not just ban dodging but basically identity fraud.

That's one of the requirements to transfer characters between accounts.

Method, Exorsus and many other guilds regularly abuse it for an unfair advantage in world first kills but Blizzard doesn't seem to care usually
