I'm stuck in the last part, because my allies nuke each other before I can heal them and the spirits as holy priest doesn't have any magnifiently effective cooldowns for that. Apoth is alright, but you're still healing one target at a time. Unless you have the new golden trait which I don't coz it's my offspec. So yea, I guess I can't get it done.
I can facetank even the 2 warrior pull in stage 1 when they enrage and live, but I don't have enough throughput to do the last stage :\ well, no golden trait and no healing legs so I guess, but I'm still 910 equipped as holy. Feelsbad.
FYI: As of Tueday standard missions* in the 760-850 range no longer spawn if you've upgraded at least 3 champions to 900. If you have an army of alts you're using to make gold you probably want to hold off on upgrading them until we find out if this was intentional or a goof.
* Dungeon/Raid missions and a few others have non-standard spawn mechanics and will keep spawning.

I one shot my assa rogue challenge, spent 3-4 hours on my monk healer one and just couldn't get past wave 5 of stage 1.
I feel that stage 1 is the toughest part of the challenge. Kiting the warrior and dodging mana sting/knife dance is tough when I only have paralysis and leg sweep since I can't stop them each cast.
I've watched videos of the rest and I am safe to say that if I get past stage 1 I am certain I can complete it within 5-10 attempts at most post stage 1. The rest of it is not so demanding and you have less and less where you can mess up (outside of your allies getting crit on themselves in phase 5).
I also am only 886 equipped in MW, so am going to try to get to 900 before mage tower back up to have a better shot at completing it.
Yeah same here failed on last pack of stage 1, was very close a few times. My gear is way better than yours though, although also have much fewer tries. I like the MW challenge, it is tough but doable. Was fun to play and I would have played much more if it was not for the shards. Little mad at myself that I did not already finish it, wasted quite a few tries with stupid fails. Also should have thought earlier of using drums, I think you really need them for the last pack.
As you say it is quite gear dependent because you can not disable all mechanics with leg sweep and paralyze. Got pretty jealous when I watched some other healer videos that have enough cc to interrupt all shots. Then again holy priests have a tougher p5 for example.
no idea how irksome it is that i didn't actually finish it. just didn't have enough time to sink into it. o well. i got so close that i at least 100% proved it was possible at this gear
Finished the healing challenge on my 908 equipped druid within 15-20 attempts, all but 2 of those wipes happened in P1 due to me not knowing the arcane blitz gives a stacking damage buff, resulting in my party getting oneshot. First time I got to p2 I did not see a timer due to an addon, after that I finished it in one go, but I suppose every class has very different difficulties.
Having a lot of issue doing the MW one despite my 913 ilvl with MW gear. I have trash legendaries for the spec but heh, I just can't get past that last P1 wave.

Did you pop drums? I think it's easiest to dps/interrupt the mage and heal through everything else, while dodging the mana sting of course.
my build order was pop drums on 2nd to last wave, save cooldowns for last wave. prolonged power, chi ji, and start dps rotation on the mage, leg sweep all 3 after the mage does 2 casts, chi burst all 3 + your allies. go to center of room so you're ready to kite the fixate or to paralysis the archer. chi torpedo -> paralysis every mana sting asap. arcane torrent the mage when you port in after kiting the fixate, or if you're not blood elf then drop another rising sun kick on him at least. fortifying brew + defensive talent if you have to tank a fixate. cocoon / high stack sheiluns gift for emergencies. you can also use thunder focus tea for 2x instant cast EM's, huge healing per gcd while on the move. revival if knife dance is going and all health bars are 2/3 or lower
I like the video Nony. I will definitely try some of that stuff for the last wave 1.
I watched a resto druid do it and it was a cake walk for him. Just spammed his hots on his allies for phase 1 and only had to typhoon the mages to interrupt their cast. He healed through mana sting on the tank every time and didn't even have to bother with half the warriors. Travel form and he never got touched.

I will definitely get it next time its up.
wouldn't be surprised if geared MW can do similar. mana sting not that hard to heal through when you know it's coming, even with my gear. you just have to plan how you're going to kite fixates. sit there and heal through everything else. also pretty easy to just heal through fixate if it's only one.
Yeah if you can interrupt stuff with the belt and elf racial for last 2 groups you need of course much less heal throughput and can get away with worse gear. Otherwise interrupting knife dance and just healing the mana sting seemed best to me.
Btw I totally missed fortifying brew. Is this new with the patch or was I really stupid all the time? I complained so much that it was gone after WoD and now it is back?
Yeah, GM's are either not giving out information or directly contradicting eachother. My main concern would be that BLP does not build at all if you already have every legendary or that there is some unintentional effect that would cause you to lose a legendary worth of credit.
My friend did 2 weeks fullclear and then opened 20 of those 5k nethershard rings (balance druid), didn't get legendary.

as a sidenote my DH finally got the shoulders, so I can safely change my lootspec to veng for relics
Which legendaries do you have? Shoulders are not as dominant as i imagined but still pretty fun to use and good sometimes. It's a bit of a noob trap for people giving up relic traits, weapon ilvl, trinket slot to COF to get meta to certain values which actually results in lower DPS than just playing "normally".
With the 4/4 trait and some non-forced meta relics if possible the CD can be good and give you more meta uptime or more meta+CB pairs in the same fight
Cini&Raddons are top tier for their respective builds, Sephuz has become popular now, Mo'arg is good for cleave & dungeons with a build like 223 (some guys playing 223 w/ sephuz+mo'arg wrecking the meters).
AOTHG is still AOTHG, less dominant but good for 222 while still being strong for 331 (partially because other options like Cini do not perform for 331)
Loramus and Achor are on my "do not care" list with Prydaz being useful sometimes and KJBW being okay but not something to sweat over if you have all of those others to do its job - maybe it's a little bit better in some situations.
I got my 8'th last night, Sephuz (missing KJBW and Achor)
So quality EU support strikes again. Also, how do I post an image here? If I use the image icon on a post, it'll jsut show [Loading Image] afterwards.
Yeah EU gets pretty neglected by Blizzard sadly. To post images you need to direct link it. Rightclick -> copy image location. Alternatively, after uploading, theres a down arrow symbol which has "Get share links". Copy the BB code one for forums.
