The guy ticketed Blizz which gave him one AK research note back and then got into catch up system which put him ahead of everyone. I know who that boomkin is and Blizz can't roll back his aks or the character would be unplayable apparently, trust me he's been reported plenty of times. He's not the only one but i have not seen many examples, i guess that works :D If it's only a handful of people then it's not too bad, a few people getting 2 or 10 hours of time off farming is fine compared to a systemic problem affecting millions. CPU optimization issues thread - https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/5js4ni/blizzard_keeps_ignoring_that_there_is_a_terrible/ -- 7.1.5 simcraft is released, looks like ~10% buff for havoc ST at the moment(?) and with 50% crit, 20% mastery i'm seeing mastery weight ~9% over crit for ST and ~50% over crit for sustained 8-target AOE. The ST buff was needed and will lower the gap between the best and worst ST classes (esp combined with nerfs to shadow priests; arms warrior legandos etc) as well as the gap between DH's with and without ST legendaries. I'm a little worried for the extent of mastery dominance, 7.1.5 was a patch that aimed to make stats more equal in value for a bunch of classes but they took DH's relatively balanced stats and buffed one to be completely out of line with the others as a way to change how the class plays and as a direct tool for raising damage rather than flat buffing all abilities by +10% etc. I think it'll feel fine but there may be more discussion or changes around it. Demon's Bite is coming out at a 2% DPS loss ST, more for AOE in my current gear. That's not quite where i'd like it to be but if a bunch of things go right it could be a good option for serious DH's (need to check with different stats, tier sets, trinkets/legendaries etc.. too much stuff to check right now)

A Prot paladin, a holy paladin and a ret paladin all at once as 3 seperate character instead of multispeccing - or worse, just three fire mages or DH's because of the way the droprates are set up and rumors that hold some weight about what happens for drop 4, 5, 6+. There's a thread on MMO-champion talking about and studying predicted legendary droprates since the launch. OP there thinks that the diminishing returns are such that you can get 3x3 legendaries on different characters or 1x5 on a single char with the same amount of work, for example. An important thing to note is that the diminishing returns seem to apply per-character instead of per-spec, so getting a bunch of Arcane legendaries for example could make it 5x harder to get the Fire bracers. Farming out your DPS spec for a thousand hours might make it almost impossible to get any tank legendaries, etc Many of the actions taken in response to these theories may not be correct or large advantages but they're being taken out of highly limited information about a system that is obviously more intricate than every legendary beyond the first one having the same droprate. They might be vaguely correct.. If it is correct then i think there should be some gameplay fixes, if it's not then a single blue post with some data and information could clear it up and ease everybodies mind on the subject. Either way i think that communication is neccesary. We're a few weeks of actual gameplay out of Nighthold and everybody is preparing alts for the raid and for AK catchup, every day that they wait is hurting right now.

The scaling actually applies the old way for mount speed with their passive Base epic mount speed = 200% runspeed Broken isles pathfinder is a "10% increase" which takes that 200% to 210%. It's adding 10% of base run speed but this is only 1.05x faster than the mount before the increase. Paladin passive is a "20% increase" which takes that 200% to 240% - this is 1.2x faster than epic mount No amount of blueposts in the world will change my or most people's deduction about droprate bullshit after the shit theyve done so far in this expansion. "oh yea it has always been in the game, the worldboss just didnt spawn yet haha", "heh turns out 4 legendary cap was real after all" -kind of but come on- and most recently the rats in karazhan. This expansion is the most bugged shit theyve ever done and if i had ANY other longterm game that i enjoy to play right now i wouldnt play this skinner box AP system+legendary grind "game".

They are really pushing people to use these shitty vantus runes heh. If only you could swap them during a week. The only guilds who really need the ones that are not for the endboss are the ones that dont use them at all so there is like no market for them. And even with the reduced material cost they are still way too expensive.

http://www.wowuction.com/eu/draenor/horde/Items/Stats/142102 Youd think for a boss like guarm which is a really close dps race more people would use them. Sure they can be crafted inhouse but so can flasks and food.

2000 gold for a 1 week buff is nothing compared to the cost of other consumables~ Not much need to swap mid week either, if you're killing 1 new boss per week then it's solid progress. If you're planning to kill multiple then you can rune the harder one. If it applied to every boss or was switchable, everybody would just use them everywhere - choosing one boss to rune for each person per week is at least a little more depth than spending gold for straight up character power like you do w/ other consumables. No reason not to use 1000 old war pots aside from $$$$$$$

The really hardcore guilds breeze through the first few bosses so there is no reason to use them because then you wouldnt be able to use it for the harder boss. The more casual guilds dont use them because they are too expensive (and they will still be afterwards). The tiny portion of guilds that use them for progression on each boss can make them inhouse. Compared to flask and food that are used by heroic and even normal raiders. So just purely as a profession perk they are meh and the only other thing inscription has are darkmoon cards but more than half or those are cheaper than mats so it's a gamble.

I dont get what you are saying. Given that you need more than one flask on difficult bosses the runes are less expensive than flasks. Why would only really hardcore guilds use them? My guilds used them and we were surely not hardcore. And now with half the costs they will become standard for even more guilds.
