Could not continue my Kara run from yesterday where we were before last boss because Dungeon lockout are somehow bugged there and instance was reset. Then joined some random group that had been wiping at last boss and their healer had left. Unsurprisingly they continued to wipe with me. Leader would not kick the one guy that never dodged a single disintegrate because he was his buddy. Got him once under 1% with 4 man but gave up like 10 wipes later.
Then tried to join numerous groups that were at last boss but it did not work a single time because of dungeon resets / lockouts. Sometimes half the group was at boss, half the group was at dungeon start in different instance and could not join them. Lots of people were struggling wiith it. Tried all kind of shit that was supposed to work but nothing did.
Altogether a fun evening. :D
Edit: Nvm after whining here made a last attempt and killed him on 2nd try with a new group. The 855 reward for the class hall quest to kill Kara end boss is rather underwhelming though. :/
Kara is very screwy right now, when i did it even without the group leaving the instance some people were being kicked out or not allowed to re-enter
Some DH logs are out for 7.1 now, it looks like people are posting about 15%ish better ST with AOTHG - pretty significant, but not nearly as much of an upgrade as some people were saying.. Maybe the burst is a lot better now? It looks like it will feel nice to use with the new demon blades. It's also not a tier set piece (tier is 5 usual pieces + cape) so it won't interfere with that in Nighthold which is nice. I'l most likely get 4-5 out of 8 legendaries in total before Nighthold comes out (mid-late jan?) so i hope it's one of those :D
I really liked the boss area and music @ kara end boss even at 7% volume for voicechat
dh people - do you guys run prepared or demon blades?
apparently demon blades with the new patch is better, but i cant for the life of me figure out how to play without demon's bite to spam in my rotation.

Latest simcraft has been updated to say DB is ~2.5% ST gain rather than 0.75% for me, the burst is also listed as ~12% stronger now. I'm in ~882 gear with ~44% crit.
need to play with it for several days to not suck so that i can do actual testing

slot machines gambling etc. etc.
same reason valve always has the super rare dota hats last to be eliminated

No SWD, doesn't drop flay late in the rotation as haste stacks up, I don't buy it. Also lacks the few peaceful moments in between when you channel artifact weapon / dispersion, you know the 4-6 moments during S2M that you are allowed to breathe.
Really hard to find a Nightbane group that requires achievement, cuz it hasn't been out long enough? I don't want to do a learning run with people and I'm used to EN requiring AOTC. But I'm also afraid of getting people that got the achievement and then couldn't kill Nightbane. Hard to pug I guess

Perhaps its because I am undergeared on my hunter (859) but we did have a bit of trouble with actually killing Nightbane, took us quite a few tries, very fun encounter though.
I wouldn't really trust people pubbing it as w ehad a pretty coordinated group to make the timer and kill him.

Those that do are probably high end raiders who are just gonna do guild groups
I think it's quick to gear up an alt but there are people still doing world quests on their mains or doing mythic+ carries over and over, feeling burdened by the tiniest possibility of titanforged or a legendary or artifact advancement. I'm pretty sure most classes can do nightbane after 2 weeks of normal/heroic EN and a handful of mythic+ so I don't think it's that crazy to have an alt ready to do nightbane at this point. Maybe it's rarer than I thought and I'm in the minority but I prefer the combat parts of the game more than the grinding, and playing multiple specs is more fun too, so cutting errands off of my main and putting that time into playing an alt has been a huge plus for me. If loot lockouts were account-wide then maybe I wouldn't do it but the game is super alt-friendly with character-specific loot lockouts.
