The team is dealing Matt Barkley to the Arizona Cardinals. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports Barkley is headed to Arizona, according to a source informed of the deal. It's for a conditional seventh-round pick that moves to a sixth-round pick if Barkley is on the roster for six games. Barkley should be behind Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton on the depth chart, but looks likely to make the roster over Logan Thomas. This would appear to be good news for Tim Tebow's chances of making the Eagles roster, although we wouldn't assume Tebow has made the team yet. The Eagles could simply choose to keep two quarterbacks or they could find a third quarterback elsewhere on the waiver wire. Barkley was drafted by Kelly and former general manager Howie Roseman, but never impressed the Eagles. He played in three games as a rookie, throwing four interceptions without a touchdown. | ||

The guy who has Leveon Bell kept Eddie Lacy Hard to say without the specific positions and scoring for your league but I'd take Brown first. I had him at 4th overall in my 8 team STANDARD league, so he can easily be viewed as the top guy in PPR for that league size, unless you have some nutty positions or rules. He had the most fantasy points in standard last year and had 18 more catches than the next guy. Go for it. Off topic: I have some fantasy advice for those of you doing auctions this year. I had my 14 team auction last night and if anything came of it I learned that the talent pool this year is deep and you shouldn't spend a ton for guys at the top. I play in an IDP league so this is gonna look a little weird, but I promise there's a moral at the end. I spent like 80% of my budget on 5 elite players (Watt, Levy, Emmanuel Sanders, Randall Cobb, Jimmy Graham) but was done so early that I didn't have the ability to do anything with guys I wanted later who were going for much cheaper and will probably produce nearly the value of the guys I paid for. Point is, don't blow it early because if you're the one guy who has the discipline to wait, there's AMAZING value later when everyone has surrendered their ability to buy the second cut talent they want. It'll be an interesting team, but any time your starting RBs are Jonathan Stewart and Alfred Blue, you get a bit uneasy. | ||
