Not much else to say edit: also did not get sacked by JJ Watt. Luck is sacked 1.33 times per game when facing JJ Watt on average

I guess the thing I'd say is that Luck still certainly has the potential to be a QB that'll give a team playoff hopes every year for a decade and Hasselbeck is too old to do that. If Hasselbeck is playing well but has a short shelf life, then he's valuable to a team that is good enough to win the SB but is just missing a good QB. So they can sign an old guy to a short contract and make a sprint to the SB and then plan to rebuild in a few years or maybe get lucky with a new QB after that. But I don't think the Colts are that team. They're still a team that wants to develop Luck rather than get better short term results with Hasselbeck. How long does Luck have to play bad for the Colts to give up on him? Quite a long time, I think. As for him being better than those other guys, I think that's obviously assuming an upward trend with Luck perhaps fixing some of his biggest most fixable flaws in the off-season but instead he slumped hard. And Big Ben and Ryan and Brady have been in the zone. Definitely a sensational prediction but it has an ounce of sense if you scale it back a bit.

I'm hoping he tries to run the Colts out of the building trying to prove that he doesn't need Brady throwing the football to own the Colts. Should be possible considering how bad the Colts run defense is.

They might have a couple weeks before the trade deadline to decide but a team that could really use a QB might be able to get one. The only thing is we've never seen a trade like that happen mid-season.

And if New Orleans lose today like I think they will, since Brees is on the downside of his career without any real pieces in place to support a strong playoff run, does New Orleans shop Brees and then go into full rebuilding mode? The only thing is we've never seen a trade like that happen mid-season. I don't think this happens mid season. It's too hard for QBs to learn a whole new playbook and get on the same page as receivers. That team needs a lot of pieces and their only assets are an older qb and their head coach. Maybe at the end of the season they blow it up depending on the next couple of games but I just can't see it happening during the season.

The Colts barely beat the Jags and the Texans. Two of the worst teams in the NFL. To draw anything from these regarding Luck is very shortsighted. Luck has played against two of the best passing defenses in the league already this year (Jets and Titans). With that said Luck does need to take note of how quick Hasselback gets the ball out. Luck gets too downfield focused.

They invested a huge amount in him, he's been hurt, and they throw to him with relative frequency. I just don't understand WRs sometimes I suppose.
