It seems like it takes quite a streak for the uncertainty to ramp up, so you'd have a lot of +25 games. I think 1 day might be a bit optimistic, since it's hard to fit much more than 20 games in a day. | ||

Of course I don't have a souce for that. doesn't work like that. there only is smurf detection on the first games on a new account. mmr goes up pretty quickly when you're winning more than losing though! just figure out who to play ranked with and who not to play ranked with when you're in a party. i don't know about solo, haven't finished my calibration games. i wish they would add a solo queue option again. the match making is a lot better now though! i haven't played with people from a certain country that pretty much everybody in eu thinks need a region lock in a long time. in ranked that is. unranked feels like there isn't even a mmr anymore. | ||

How do you know smurf detection only works in the first games? I never seen it mentioned anyway. And you people need to be reasonable... If you region lock the game AND bring back solo queue option just count the amount of separate player pools. Ranked, Unranked. Both divided between solo queue and parties allowed. These region locked. And then divide these into different game modes. Yeah....enjoy your 30 minute wait times to get a decent game going. The high ranked players might not get a game in an hour with that system, or it would match players with ridiculously wide range of skill together. That system is awful. | ||

According to the Valve matchmaking post, if they think your MMR is wildly incorrect they'll reinstate calibration. I think that would probably only happen after a long streak. | ||

Also, generally when supporting I can cause us to win 2 lanes, the lane I'm supporting and mid, as well as disrupting the opponents jungle. Of course this is all anecdotal evidence, but I find that I can win my fair share of games that I play by supporting. | ||
