Now I have to go from watching the perfection of the Canadian Mens club to watching the... Oilers.

My money was on the Oilers but they got Bishop who seems to be used to face 50 shots per game and only giving up 1-2 unlike the previous Oiler goalies so that seems settled. Who else needs a goalie? 'Peg? http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=444588 You mean Scrivens? Wasn't St.Louis rumored to be going after Miller? I can't remember now

I guess they would also have to give up either Allen, Halak or Elliott. I think Allen is the most valuable to STL in the long run, so it is possible Elliott or Halak goes to Buffalo too, but they're not goalies that you would want to build a franchise after at this point. Allen would be the choice, but STL would be paying a lot at that point.

St Louis is probably the only team that can put up a good trade without gutting the team's farm system completely. Putting Jake Allen in the trade for Miller drives that price way down. Possibly only just Allen and a first for Miller. Edmonton would have to give up Hall, Eberle, Hopkins or Yakupov and a top prospect + their first. That's simply too high of a price.

Ya his team sucks but I cant help but feel a lot of his status as an elite goalie rests from his Vezina and then the 2010 heroics. But that was a long time ago. 0.915 S% and 2.4 GAA career while playing on mostly bad Sabers squads in his career. Luongo is 0.916 S% and 2.51 GAA playing on mostly stanley cup contending Canucks teams. Miller is elite and consistent. Not much deviation from the 915S% and 2.4 GAA

What a prick. *watch out for more bitterness coming* for what its worth.... the Canadian commentators on CBC pointed at the russian "executive hierarchy" for forcing the team to use too many KHL players and turning it into too much of "KHL versus NHL" players.. rather than just picking the best players and best fit. obviously, none of these canadian commentator guys can speak Russian... but that was the general theory proposed. Also, Ovechkin apologized, was straight forward and didn't duck interviews. Ovechkin was kind enough to be interviewed by the CBC right after losing ( canada's big hockey network and government run tv station ). In 1998, Canada had a team Captain who ran and hid. This guy was mr tough guy when it came to beating up guys who weight 20 kilograms less than him. But, when Canada lost he ran and hid like a coward. He also can barely speak only 1 language so he avoids ever visiting 25% of the country so that he doesn't look like a complete moron. Sochi Olympics Receives Great Reviews The Canadian delegates and athletes raved about how great everything was for them in Sochi. Russia put on a great show. My only complaint about the entire event was the bad ice in the Bolshoy. The ice in the smaller arena was good. The ice in curling was absolutely fucking phenomenal. Perfect humidity, Perfect Temperature... Perfect everything. imo a few of the events probably got fixed so the Russians could win them. but, canada got the same deal when they held the olympics so who gives a fuck. the russians were probably going to get 25 or 30 medals without any "interference" from the judges any way. at least Russia didn't kill any one trying to maintain its "home field advantage" like Canada did to that poor Luger guy. and then of course they buried the story. Good Luck to Ovechkin and Russia in the next Olympics. and good luck to Ovechkin and Bobrovski in their quest for Lord Stanley's Mug!
