don't you think at all that korea having the 2nd highest average IQ has a lot to do with starcraft becoming a very popular game in their country to begin with?

LoL is massively more popular than SC2 in korea anyways, therefor LoL is clearly a game more suited for intellectuals

There's so many holes in everything you've said, this is ridiculous

I think it's pretty obvious that a person with higher IQ will have a higher likelihood than a person with lower IQ to perform well at Starcraft, seeing as how some of the core mechanics of Starcraft is exactly what IQ tests seek to measure. However, I fail to see how the average IQ of a country would incite any sort of discussion, seeing as how Starcraft players are individual people.

so for you and other people subscribing to your idea as well, this apparent 'order' between the data and the popular idea i mentioned is purely coincidental?

i think so, yeah. it might have something to do with cultural stuff -> in general east asians work hard and promote academic success which leads to both a higher iq and a better sc performance.

Here's the thing about IQ; It's a bell curve, so you have X% of the population above a certain range from your average.

That means there are WAY more people in the US with an IQ over 150 than somewhere like Sweden because of the differences in population size, therefor by the same logic the US should be outperforming Sweden. That's not the case at all, so it's pretty clear to me IQ has nothing to do with SC2 performance.
