My best guess: I imagine that they have refused part or all of the request, which meant they had to go to Ryan to explain why.

And FYI Nunes was cleared in the investigation into whether he mishandled intelligence documents. But I really think you’re too much in the camp that assumes an (R) before the name damages credibility anyways.

These days? Yes. (R) means (R)eally dishonest. There are exceptions, but if you don't think Republican politicians are unusually full of shit, you haven't been paying attention. Both in the House and the Senate.

It might have no relation after all, I don’t really know. It’s just today is the deadline for handing over intelligence in the dossier case. I want to know if a Hillary oppo research document was used to justify wiretaps on her election opponent. If there was credible intelligence in addition to it, or if the FBI verified some claims, that would be a nice thing to know.

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order disbanding his voter fraud commission.
A White House statement is blaming the decision on numerous states that have refused to provide voter information to the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity.
White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders says that, "Rather than engage in endless legal battles at taxpayer expense," Trump has signed an order to dissolve the commission and asked the Department of Homeland Security to determine the administration's next steps.
Critics saw the commission as part of a conservative campaign to strip minority voters and poor people from the voter rolls, and to justify unfounded claims made by Trump that voter fraud cost him the popular vote in 2016.
Past studies have found voter fraud to be exceptionally rare.

I have a low opinion of politicians in general, but Nunes has been doing good work. Schiff has been a partisan hack, dishonest and obstructive. Most of the Republicans grandstanding back at Benghazi testimony were just slime balls. On the balance, selecting out Republicans from the mix is unsupported if we’re talking honesty. Farva has shown a bit of that in the past.

Trump turning farva into a state rights dude is unexpected. I joke, but you usually only cite noncompliance with the fed to trash others that care for state rights.

Not the best attempt at trolling I've ever read, but you come across as sincere. It's a decent attempt.
I suppose the fact that Nunes ran to the WH in the middle of the night to give them info they already had means nothing and him being part of the beleaguered transition has nothing to do with his behavior now. He, like many in Trump's orbit, are acting like they are in full on panic mode. But that's just "doing good work". Gotcha.

I expect Nunes knows a lot more than has been publicly disclosed. Like others.

They found so much evidence that they didn't have time to handle it all. We must have voter IDs.

Is Twitter really the best place for journalism that requires 46 serial tweets?
