Source: NYTI don't have a clue why Bernie is clinging so hard to Weaver. I imagine it is largely a trust thing. This is kind of illustrating how hard it is to throw people under the bus if you, personally, have a good relationship with them. DWS is a monumental shithead as DNC chair (though she's vastly more qualified than Canova to be rep) but it's hard for Clinton to ditch her for more or less the same reason Bernie can't dump Weaver.
But this isn't a campaign. It's an organization. I don't see why it needs to be as simple as "second in command" always goes to whoever has recently been that. I can understand for Bernie campaigns, but this isn't a campaign.

What's hilarious about this election is to attack Hillary, the republicans have to make up conspiracy theories like her covering up horrible health issues, her having people killed for finding out about her problems or looking at her funny, her emails that have been now proven by the FBI to be a non issue, benghazi,benghazighazi, benghazighazighazi, etc... And all the democrats have to do is give trumps exact words.

Iowa Rep. Steve King on Wednesday sought to downplay Donald Trump's recent "softening" on immigration, emphasizing that he did not interpret the Republican nominee's latest comments to be a significant change in his stance toward the millions of undocumented people in the country.
King, introduced on CNN by John Berman as a supporter of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz during the primaries, remarked that Trump's comment to Sean Hannity that he would consider "softening" his stance should be taken "with the balance" of his other comments. Trump remarked Tuesday night that "we're going to follow the laws of this country," while adding, "what people don't realize, what people don't realize, we have very, very strong laws.”
"When you balance that together, I think what it says is that if people are anticipating that there would be a deportation corps that would be deployed across this country, that softening means that's less likely," King acknowledged. "And he said, too, we have the police force out there. They know who people are. And let's work with local law enforcement. And they didn't say it in this interview. But in these sanctuary cities and enforcing the law, that will keep us busy for a long time."
When pressed on the context of Trump's remarks, in which the Manhattan businessman responded to a question about those here illegally who contribute to society, King suggested that Trump might have more to say about the legal status of such individuals.
"His answer then was there could be some softening, which I didn't quite hear as he'd be willing to change the law," said King, who said he would "push back on that," noting his position on the House Immigration Subcommittee and House Judiciary Committee. "And I think Donald Trump understands this. If asked further on this, I think he would come back to this point: we have to restore the respect for the rule of law in America. And part of that is to enforce the laws that we have. If we fail to do that, then the result of that will be, reward people for breaking the law which means that it would erode the very position that's taken him to the nomination."
King was then pressed on whether allowing people to stay, even if they contribute to society and have been law abiding, would be "tantamount to amnesty."
"I would say yes. And the reason is they're not law abiding in the first place. By crossing the border illegally, they're by definition criminals. And he has said he wants to remove the criminals in this country," King explained.

I'm very skeptical of calling ultra-right wing conspiracy theorists "Republicans" when they're just as willing to burn actual Republicans as they are Hillary.

It's the "win the tea party wing in the primaries" plan, and nothing more. The tea party was always going to get an immigration-centric presidential candidate...so why not just utter the simplest blanket statement you can to grab the tea partiers up.

The ongoing practice of promising people things you can't delver to get elected and then demonizing the other side when you can't accomplish the thing you knew you couldn't do. I am sure they repeal/overturn Roe v Wade and Obama care too.

Why not? His brand is by far his bigger asset. The nature of the businesses he invested in may have been suspect (the clothing line did quite will though) but using your brand for whatever makes money is just good business sense.

I was referring more to literal scams rather than steaks/clothes, like the books, which if they were a campaign thing he would have given away at only publishing cost instead of paying himself royalties, Trump university, The Trump Network, etc

I think Trump doing all these small time deals has less to do with him needing the money and more to do with his raging narcissism which requires his name being everywhere.

My understanding was that it is a liquidity crunch. He may actually own billions of dollars in properties, but they might have billions in leverage on them and he pays off the leverage with the running proceeds of the properties (golf courses cost a lot to buy and run). This leaves him in a position where coming up with a few million dollars requires another loan or selling a property, even though he technically owns billions in property. The small time scams and licensing deals (Trump steaks, University, courses, clothing, and the ABC show) provide him the actual cash he uses in his lifestyle.
