I think trump's just not that rich, but because of his personality and mental disorders would literally die if he had to admit it. It's also probably why he's never going to release his taxes, which every other presidential candidate has done.
eidt: How likely is it that after this election trump actually goes to jail for all of the scamming he's done and all of the campaign money that he's used to pay himself? Would be very ironic given the uproar him and his sheep followers made over wanting Hillary to go to jail.

Oh I don't disagree that Trump likely needs the small time money to get by. I mean there is a skyscraper boom in NY and he is taking no part in it because noone trusts him.
My point is that even if he was Bill Gates rich he would likely still put his name on every item he could .

Yeah you can say "anything that makes trump any amount of money Is good" but there's still the question of why a multi-billionaire wants to bother with pocket change revenue streams. Considering trumps lifetime business strategy of borrowing money, which caused his spectacular Atlantic City flop and very nearly caused personal bankruptcy, it raises further questions about his cash on hand. "Lol Money=business sense" is not really a sufficient explanation.
Then consider that a thought on trumps mind is why the U.S. Can't just default on its debt and make a good deal. How is trumps supposed business acumen looking for the U.S. now?
|
Not sure why people keep saying he's a billionaire. His assertion that he's got money doesn't mean much. Till we see his taxes he's "alleged billionaire Donald Trump".
|
There is nothing unethical about putting your name on steaks, that's not the issue here. What is unethical is paying yourself royalties from campaign donations, commiting advertising fraud for your unaccredited sales course, and engaging in good 'ol ponzi schemes multi-level marketing
|
Pretty sure opening a fake university and telling your employees to encourage people to use credit cards to pay for the classes isn’t ethical either.
|
Do we have any way to model the worth of his brand and how it has changed over the course of the campaign? He's got a big following, but he also has an extremely strong anti-following. Companies can't pick him up as easily now because there would be enormous outrage. Anything he tries to get involved in will result in some massive twitter campaign. I feel like he's confined himself to alt-right news and stuff like that from now on.

The executive of the pharmaceutical company that hiked the prices of two dozen drugs, including EpiPen, received a 671% pay increase over the past nine years.
Heather Bresch, chief executive officer of Mylan, came under public scrutiny this week after reports that since acquiring rights to EpiPen in 2007, the company had implemented a series of gradual price increases inflating the price of the drug from $56.64 to $317.82, a 461% increase in cost . During that same time, Bresch went from being Mylan’s chief operating officer to president to chief executive and saw her pay rise $2,453,456 to $18,931,068, a 671% increase.
When Mylan first acquired Merck KGaA in 2007, Bresch oversaw the integration of its 400 products. Among those products was EpiPen, which is used to quickly deliver a proper dose of epinephrine to those suffering from anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis is when an allergic reaction causes one’s airways to swell and close. In a 2015 interview with Fortune, Bresch described EpiPen as “my baby”. Under her management, EpiPen went from bringing in $200m a year in sales to becoming Mylan’s first billion-dollar product.
Following the outcry over the increase in EpiPen’s prices, Bresch, who is the daughter of West Virginia senator Joe Manchin, could be called on to justify Mylan’s pricing before the US Congress. Her father does not sit on the Senate judiciary committee, which would most likely hear her testimony.
Mylan has hiked prices of other products as well, according to a June report by a Wells Fargo senior analyst David Maris.

To be fair, I think almost any person Trump describes seems more like a cartoon character than a real person. "Lyin Ted" or "Lil' Marco" or "Crooked Hillary" are all just cartoons, I don't think he believes other human beings have any nuance really.
On another note, Gary Johnson has now called Trump a fascist. I wonder how much of it is targeted marketing ploy.
This resulted in me stumbling upon when he called Trump a pussy which is just hilarious (also go him for climbing the tallest mountain on each continent). Hope we see some counter-tweets, but I think Trump has lost the twitter privileges for the past two days after that stupid tweet the day after his new campaign staffer said he doesn't insult people.

Trump steaks aren't steaks of Trump, or even steaks of Trump owned cattle. Trump steaks are some other dude's steaks from some other dude's cows in a business owned by them which simply licenses the word Trump from Trump. Same with his buildings etc, he doesn't finance them, it's other peoples' money, he just stamps the word Trump on them. That's why his businesses can go bankrupt so often without it impacting him and that's why it's been so difficult to estimate his net worth. It's why when he sued a journalist for saying his net worth was lower than he'd previously claimed Trump himself testified that his net worth varies daily as he values his own brand at several billion and would reappraise it depending upon how he feels about it that day. Incidentally he said that as part of his evidence that he really is as rich as he claims.
