Hopefully they are just trying to get them to roll up. You'd have to be an idiot to think this was them acting without direction.

The point is to threaten them with big sentences and get them to finger people higher up, against who the state does not current have enough evidence.

Y'all don't know Bill Scheutte, I actually worked as an intern in his office lol. Dude is motivated by ideology above everything else (my office litigated anti-gay marriage positions harder than almost any other AG in the nation, save for maybe Texas). It's highly likely that the indictments won't go outside of the DEQ and that's definitely not a coincidence; Michigan Republicans are a tightly knit group for the most part.

The computer network used by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign was hacked as part of a broad cyber attack on Democratic political organizations, people familiar with the matter told Reuters.
The latest attack, which was disclosed to Reuters on Friday, follows reports of two other hacks on the Democratic National Committee and the party’s fundraising committee for candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives.
The U.S. Department of Justice national security division is investigating whether cyber hacking attacks on Democratic political organizations threatened U.S. security, sources familiar with the matter said on Friday.

Guessing this has something to do with why Hillary and surragates have tried to put all of the attention on Russia. They don't know what was exposed and didn't want to get caught denying something that actually has even more damning evidence in the wings.

Unironically, the same people who want us to believe this is all the Russians, also want us to believe that they didn't access her server or messages overseas.

There's incompetence, absolutely, but I doubt it'd be any more or less prevalent than the same incompetence that probably exists in Trump's campaign, or Johnson's or Stein's for that matter.
Regardless, I hope whatever was in there gets leaked

"Who want us all to believe it was the Russians"
You do know that there is a widespread consensus among both experts and U.S. intelligence that it was Russia, yes?

Yeah, thats pretty on spot:
"Russia stole our documents to push trump, they are evil, trump is evil!"
"My documents on my unprotected private server have been save from oversea espionage"

Just to check if we live in the same universe: Do you guys believe that the main reason something similar has not happened to the Republican is that they are just that much more competent with computer security?

By that measure, there's so many other people/organisations before russia that would have an interest in doing so.
I love how people think that russians are just plain retarded. Like, properly, looking at a computer and wondering how shit works. Because clearly, a russian would not be able to comprehend the fact that if they'd get caught, it would be a win by default for HRC. They'd also use the computer of the head of the FSB, to make sure they're easily traceable.
Doesn't ring any alarm bells though, to some people.
Ffs.
edit: and lol at whatever US intelligence is telling anyone. If you actually believe anything of what they saying without hard, definitive proof, .. well. You'll get another Iraq.

It has happend to them, their stuff is just not "leaked".
But doesnt change alot to GreenHorizons' observation.
Sure other gouvernments have certain candidates they want to win, German gouvernment wants Hillary, Russia seems to like Trump. The Russians just like to use their "power", even tho thats just some 2nd class hacking power.

1) No there wasn't.
2) Distrust of a consensus because it's a consensus just makes it a waste of time to talk to you. It's impossible to operate under scientific and logical principles if you think that way.

It's a bit mindboggling that people still argue with "but the intelligence said", considering that they blatantly lied multiple times over the last couple of years, all in regards to huge things. Starting from the WMD lies, to lying about spying on allies etc - all things "the intelligence said".

What is the gain from blaming Russia and further antagonizing them when they did not do it?
