What kind of question is this. An incredibly bad one.
Both Clinton and Sanders answered it okay, though.

Bernie shouldn't have spoken in an absolute there.
He must know of Eminem!

Yeah, I didn't blame Hillary at all when she danced around it and answered the question Bernie got. I wasn't surprised when they looped back on it, but damn what a bad question

Clinton nailed this issue of the super predators word usage. Completely changed it to talk about her work helping black communities.

US policy debating training shows its ugly head in every debate where at some point the candidates just list soundbites on serious issues, without giving any explanation or details. Completely useless to almost all viewers.

What kind of question is this. These are the real issues. Institutional racism is pervasive and entrenched in America, what will you do to combat it? -- The corrected TL question, probably.

Way too much wall street...

Sanders and wall street starting to sound like a broken record. I don't think he's wrong, but I am tired of him hammering it. We know his stance on it. Move on.

These two just revert to their buzzword when they need to more to talk about.

Just to demonstrate that the single issue narrative is taking hold, here's a tweet from an editor of Politico:

Apparently all delegates from Puerto Rico went to Rubio:

Every day I talk to people who don't even know his name still. Have to remember when they poll people they poll likely voters not just registered or people of age. There are literally still millions of people who still couldn't put his name to his face.

I absolutely loathe getting random people to ask questions. It's great for them, but it wastes so much time and generally results in a worse debate where we don't get a clear idea about the positions of the candidates because the candidates focus on image rather than substance, and consequently the debaters don't have time to engage each other's ideas, nor to react to the other's points.

Those people probably won't see this debate either. They apparently didn't watch any of the previous ones or the town halls (or apparently any TV or newspapers at all).

Hillary's answer is better here. It's weird, I feel like Sanders misses more easy questions than he does tough ones.
|
Clinton answering the question better though. Actually said some more specific things while Bernie just alluded back to his same old line.

Wow, someone said privatization and competition is good (private school management) is a democratic primary debate. Take note of the year, you'll be telling about it to your grandchildren.

Honestly though I don't think I've ever heard anyone, Democrat or Republican, give an answer I was satisfied in regards to education. We need a complete reform of the system. It's not just about money, teachers and management.

Apparently you can't say: "let's be more like Finland" in the states...
