The HotS custom tournament was hosted by sc2tv.ru. They also gave the price pool. There was no english stream so HD casted the replays.

Next week will be 2 weeks after MLG, so I don't see the problem. :D
And the season ends on 4th September, so next week seems to be pretty accurate(I hope).

ya seems quite logical, also they forgot to turn on the ladder lock... seems like they heavily working on the beta right now... so should be out soon... but unfortunatly i guess there will be almost no chance to get a key this early...

Thinking I might have a good chance of getting a beta key, I submitted a ticket about their system spec prog not picking up my graphics card on my MSI GT70 because of the wierd nvidia optimus technology. They replied saying they really wanted to test that setup with the upcoming beta !

Well they initially made the statement about beta starting in the "weeks after MLG" before MLG Anaheim so everyone assumed it would be out long before Raleigh lol. Either way, with everything lining up next week seems like beta might be close. We'll see next week I guess.

This makes the most sense considering that most of the large tournaments take a break sometime in december-early january which would provide the best opportunity to switch from WoL to HotS.

I suspect when they see just how ... some of the units are in HoTS the beta will be substantially longer than 3 months, I'm thinking 4 or 5.

So someone in the community makes a cool mod that imitates some of the features (not all though because not all have been announced) and now you want it to go away so only those invited to a close beta can get some experience with the expansion...F U

Rofl... That's so stupid. They are like "yeah we only want closed beta to play not even a mod is playable!" Thank's blizzard so now when I don't get in I can't even play the mod to keep me calm -_-.

I think the simple reason is that they dont want people who are playing the Beta to play it then when its a bit unstable (because its the Beta) then decide to go play stable custom game and deprive Blizzard of valuble testing people.

I remember people saying it before MLG Then it'll be as soon as MLG ends. Now here we are, months and weeks later.

Meh, I actually don't dislike the move, however I do feel like it was maybe a bit unnecessary. I think Blizzard want people to have a legit fresh experience once the beta comes out for them and not have it tainted by some dodgey second hand custom mod.
