Either way, I just really hope to see a Spurs vs Heat finals. And Ace, I'm sure bosh will be healthy, he's supposedly coming back in this series. Only thing I can see happening to screw some ones chances at the finals is for some one to get hurt at the last minute. And Holcan, grats on 2k where ever you post it
That's a poor reason to not look up stats or any sort of factual support for the controversial opinions you post. If you're not going to do the research to support your opinions, then you should avoid any sort of extreme statements like saying MIA is going to easily stop SAS's offense and at least avoid making completely false statements like saying the Spurs have yet to face a strong defensive team when OKC clearly qualifies. This thread, and TL in general, requires that you take some responsibility for what you post.
Also, bias is allowed, but within reason. At some point bias, particularly if it is blind and completely uninformed, crosses the line and creeps into the trolling territory because you're just asking for people to tear your post apart. There are many biased people in this thread, but they at least try to provide some support for what they claim.

The last thing I'll say about a team looking unbeatable going into the Finals:
Last year Miami went 12-3 and dominated the Eastern Conference and even in games they didn't play well (including Game 1 vs Chicago) they never looked totally dead and they weren't even healthy.
They got the Finals vs Dallas and looked like a completely different team after Game 3. You just never know what can happen when 2 teams match up especially when one of them is ranked in the top of the league on both sides of the ball and the other has a GOAT coach with options.

I'm pretty concerned for the C's because I just don't know if they can score enough against MIA. Pierce is needed to guard Lebron, which is going to tire him out and make him less effective on offense. Ray is injured and playing worse than a role player. That leaves Rondo and KG to carry the scoring load, which they're not really used to and will always be outmatched by the scoring by Lebron and Wade.

Ya agreed with your post, but there were more people who were unsure of the Heat last year you have to say though Ace(me included).
And it is looking really tough for Boston. If they don't win today, they will have a really hard time winning the series. Plus like said above about Pierce, and with KG being mostly a jump shooter nowadays, it leaves so much of the load on Rondo. On May 31 2012 05:05 Holcan wrote: is it sad that I've stopped visiting tl for everything but the nba thread and my teams tutorial video thread? Also Ace, the Mavs were 12-3 last year. I don't think people look at the record when judging a team's dominance unless of course you haven't lost a game in like 2 months. Starting the playoffs 12-0 and winning twenty-something straight going into the finals is an impressive feat. Then again, the Patriots might have something to say about winning streaks and championship games.

Ah, I'm like everywhere there are so many communities here that intersect with my interests hehe
I hope the Heat can make a statement with a sweep or dominating series win of their own, send a message to the West that we're waiting for them at the Finals and all. Most people give the advantage to the Spurs, and rightfully so I guess, but I believe that we can do it! ^^ just gotta hope that MVP-status LBJ shows up and maybe even transcends his performances so far etc

Boston knows that they will have a tough time, you saw it in their faces when the game was ending.

I don't expect Boston to win the series, but I hope they put up a good fight.
Getcho wheel chair ready. Pierce is about to have a big game.

In the 2008 NBA Finals, Paul Pierce went down with an apparent injury and had to be taken off the court in a wheelchair. He returned minutes later, seemingly uninjured. Take that for what thou wilt.

Ohhh right right I do remember that.
So getting the wheelchair ready=way of saying it's going to be a big game for Pierce? I get it now heh.
In any event, the Celtics really did look very serious though towards the end of last game as people mentioned. I was sort of surprised by their very clear worrying (they seriously looked like they were sitting at a funeral, graveside or something) but I guess they know themselves well and their somber attitude/faces really indicated that they think is going to be a tough series? ><
Edit: hehehe
LOL "he took a senzu bean"
Another edit: from where was that clip of LeBron randomly in a suit saying "the dude was faking it?" sort of cheezy and definitely really weird...
|
uhhh no. It means that Pierce is going to try to get calls and flop around
|
Wait...so it means that he will flop but also play a good game though right? Unless big game really means big flops? :o
I'm so chobo -.-

I'm so chobo -.- The good game part is optional, but yes, he will most definitely flop. Whether he has a big game because he flops is debatable.
EDIT: you can obviously tell I'm not the biggest fan of Pierce.

We do this! Game 2 baby! Protect the home!
