NaNiwa not invited to Code S - Page 72

While I understand that there's a need to discuss this matter, this thread has way too many trash posts in it. Please think carefully about what you want to say. Ad hominem attacks on Swedish people in general, calling you fellow Starcraft fans idiots etc etc will be dealt with with harsher punishment from here on out. Keep it civil people.

Page 230: Here's some more stuff that'll get you banned!
- Conspiracy theory mongering about MLG and GOM
- Comparing people to Hitler
- Posting useless one liners of arguments that have already been repeated ad nauseum.

I used to think NaNiWa has the spirit of a winner, but yesterday he showed he has not. It doesn't matter if something is on the line if you can still win a game, a winner would always choose to fight and win it.

Besides that, he also took NesTeas chance to win the game and take "revenge" for his losses at MLG etc. Perfectly fine and reasonable choice from GSL.

I guess you haven't seen alot of sport! Games that mean nothing are constantly "thrown" in professional sports and no one really cares about it. Does it really matter how you throw the game? In my eyes Naniwa was just honest instead of pretending to play a decent game.

I watched enough sports to know that if any team just starts dicking around like walking and doing nothing during a game they would be beheaded, even if they have no chance to going on

Kids, this is obvious decision, you should understand why...
GSL is tournament for professional players, playing is profession, not some kind of fun.
In GSL they play for audience! Not for themselves. Do you think in normal JOB you can say to your boss that you have bad humor and dont wanna work? NO!

Naniwa, no matter what he think, should just sit in that booth and give fight with all his heart! To respect Korean audience, NesTea, GSL stuff, online audience etc.

This match wasnt meaningless, if not for Naniwa it has meaning for audience, probably for NesTea...
This is not a playground for 3yo kinds, this is professional tournament, for professional players.
His duty as a player was to give his best in that game!

With all his heart!? Do you really think that any progamer can do this after being eliminated in the most frustrating manner in 3 extremely close games?

For Nestea and Naniwa it stopped being a tournament the moment they got 0-3. From them on it became an annoying waste of time.

Also, it's quite disrespectful to start a post with "Kids"...

I do like that. Naniwa isn't one of them.

He is. He got many very solid titles to his name and put up really good games in the Blizzard Cup. I don't even know where to start.

Start out by pointing out a game he has won in GSL.

I honestly think Sen will do much better in GSL then Naniwa

HuK mothership rushes and looses on purpose but is treated like a superhero.

Naniwa makes a probe rush and looses on purpose but gets revoked by biased judges.

What Naniwa did wasnt a rush , and it wasnt a viable strategy , he just lost the game on purpose.. I guess he will learn what not to do , the hard way...

t though he was going to get a warning , not a temporary ban , but he deserves it even though GOM also as fault of making players play a game after they have been eliminated

Nani had this coming. GomTV did the right thing to show that such immature behavior isn't accepted. Even if this case isn't fully justified, people will think twice about doing something like this again and that's the whole point of this ban.

Now get on with it, GSL is still the best without nani, he just got what he deserved. I would be fucking mad if i had paid for it, but nani decided to take things into his own hands.

Way to insult both Korean and Swedish culture in the same post, even if you only meant to insult Korean culture.

Someone please ban that idiot. He is incredibly insulting.

It isn't insulting to swedish people as we embrace people being different. Your post attacking him and calling him an idiot for voicing his impression and opinion is however unnecessary and should by korean standards result in a revoke of forum rights.

What about "korean tournament" do you connect to "the world"? Make sense.

Global StarLeage

It's just a name. Just like, you know, NASL doesn't stick to players from North America? It's still a tournament in Korea, run by a Korean company, with almost nothing but korean players. If you're in rome, act like the romans.

Then you don't call yourself GLOBAL, NASL is NASL because it's run in North America.
It's not the Korean SL, its the GSL.

Looks like nobody's got an answer to this? That's what I figured.

I asked the exact same thing on reddit and got downvoted to oblivion.
Where is the line? This is a really dangerous precedent.

LOL at people that keep saying the match was meaningless, so its ok to forfeit, and criticizing the format.

Really? The format is pretty clear and works very well; god, so much bias defending a player that refuses to show a match THAT WE PAID FOR.

Warning or disqualification
- 경기중에 과격한 행동으로 상대 게이머나 관중들에게 위협을 가할 때
- During a match, a player shall not offend the opponent or audience with abusive behaviours

So why hasn't other players gotten their Code S revoked before? If you take a look at LR threads people go apeshit as soon as someone does any kind of cheese. Jinro caused a lot of drama and started cursing (I don't give a shit but a lot people do) during the live group selection, no punishment there either. But for some reason when Naniwa is involved it's always okay to punish him? It's ridiculous.

I guess this is what happens when you host something as the GSL in a country who hates other cultures. I am from Sweden and I have learned from young age to respect other cultures even if I don't always agree with them. I guess thats what is being raised in a civilized western country. Maybe we are wrong and should be more like Korea, force every immigrant to behave just like us swedes or punish them in every single way we know of. Would that be fair?

Are you seriously retarded? Can all the swedish people here please stop ur retarded biased bullshit, u dont have anything to say so u spit out the most dumb shit u can think of.
I'm from sweden aswell and this is just embarassing

And what do you have to say? Real mature for you insult me when I bring up some important facts. I guess you are one of those swedes who go out on the streets insulting everyone from a different culture

Naniwa clearly tried to out smart neastea but he stuck with a standard build.

people who think a probe rush is realistically anything but a 100% loss are fucking stupid. I'm sorry, I can't phrase it any other way and I'm just so tired of seeing it in this thread. probe rush = 0% win rate = guaranteed loss. guaranteed loss = throwing the game. throwing the game = punishment. punishment = ban, in this case.

fucking deal with it.

You do realise that Idra has done the very same in a number of tournaments and we just shrug it off with "Oh Idra.."
People are hating on naniwa so much lately I bet you all would be happy if he fell over and broke his spine.

rules have to be vague or people will find loopholes to get around it -_-

As a lawyer, please take my word on the fact that what you just wrote is nonsense.

Laws are not meant to be vague at all. They are supposed to be very clear so that people know the lawful boundaries and can act within the scope of the law. Ambiguity actually makes for invalid law...
