Wow way to make his new team look bad.

Oh and btw for the people that compare this to real sport scenarios and how Naniwas career will be ruined by this. Do you think Charles Barkley smiled and laughed through his career in the NBA?When he didn't like someone he punched the other guy in the fucking face,he elbowed people, trashed talked people to no end, refused to come in from the bench(was that match throwing?).He is now a award winning commentator for TNT and one of the most public persona's in the US sport media. The way he acted through his career was his path. It's his skill as a player and personality that brought him far and he didn't give a shit about honoring sponsors or the NBA.

At least played it out for the viewers and everyone else.He like does not give a fuck about the game and did not even gave any respect to the other player Nestea and GomTV.
He obviously gives a fuck about the game, otherwise he wouldn't practice so much. He didn't give a fuck about THAT game, because it didn't matter. Stop whining.

I think the attention this is getting is almost as retarded as the shitstorm that erupted after Naniwa gave Nestea the thumbs down at MLG.
So Naniwa threw away a game that meant absolutely nothing. Would you feel better if Naniwa simply forfeited instead of even going into the match? As a viewer I'm unhappy that we were denied probably the most anticipated match of the night, but I'm not going to call for Naniwa to actually lose his code S spot as some people are saying...
Not to mention I had a good laugh, it was unexpected, and it was at least more memorable than some of the games in yesterday's group.

Hell some people might have stayed up all night just to watch this game or even only bought their ticket for this rivalry? And now they feel cheated because naniwa basically gave them a middle finger.
I was looking foward to MMA vs Naniwa and Polt vs Naniwa... I was cheated out of both those games, not by Naniwa but by his opponents doing 1 base all ins.. just like he did vs Nestea..
The only difference between them was Naniwa vs Nestea didn't matter, however against MMA and Polt it did, and they cheated us by doing gimmick 1 base all in coin flips.

I see no major difference to this and how it often is at MLG where players skip their placement matches. There's little on the line and usually nobody gives a crap. It's a bit of a crappy thing to do for the fans (he could at least made an effort to do somthing entertaining) but at the end of the day I don't really care.

Personally I would have just cannon rushed, or 4gated but Naniwa didn't even feel compelled to put that much effort in and I'm okay with it.

But have you ever seen a soccer team not show up for a match or just walk off the pitch after the kickoff? Because that's what happened today. nah. just took the easiest way and didnt try. same happens in soccer in games that dont matter, pretend to play but dont really try. not sure why im doing sport to esport comparasions because i usually think they are stupid and shouldnt ever be done. g.g we're trying to get esport into the mainstream so it's not stupid at all

I feel so bad for him though, he was in such a lose-lose situation. I have a feeling it would have played out like this if he would have played seriously:
Win: it was only a meaningless game, nestea could have beaten him if he wanted etc. Lose: he's such a scrub, was only a fluke that he beat him last time etc.
Nani had nothing at all to gain, no one would have been pleased with him no matter what happened.
And to people feeling cheated;
"I think they should make players play out all the games in a BoX, otherwise I am going to feel cheated of the games I missed. Especially if I paid to see them.
It is entertaining to see people that have already lost loose more, I love seeing games with unmotivated players being forced to play meaningless matches. "

Obviously he dose since it's common practice for the major teams to rest there stars and let the B-teamers play in minor cups or unimportant games.

Okay so here it is guys. I'm not one to get easily offended or outraged about things. Nothing to date in the Starcraft scene has got me riled up, until now.
Naniwa showed an absolute lack of respect to the viewers to his opponent and to GOM TV. It was a disgrace.
I am truly disappointed in Naniwa and shop some kind of action is taken against him.

Quoted. for. truth.

I find it funny that players are apparently expected to fool the audience into thinking they care when they really do not. That's not what e-sports is about for me, I don't want to see a fake competition.

brachester,
He plays for no one else but himself.

and that is why boxer is the hero of starcraft and will always be liked even when he doesn't gg even though spectators know he is so far behind.
and why naniwa is .... well jumping teams.
