He'd just lost 3 games, he was out of the tournament, as was Nestea. The outcome of the match had no effect on the rest of the tournament. That isn't fucking match-fixing... if he wants to probe rush, he's well within his rights. Sure it sucks for the viewers, but from his perspective, he's probably pissed off at himself after losing the other games, why should he be forced to play what is essentially just a showmatch?

He still had manners to gg at the end. If anyone else would cheese and failed, none of you would rage at him or even post anything about it. Smells like double standards. If we exclude bronze league, I'm pretty sure no person has ever won a game by 7 probe rushing a Zerg player.

He did earn his spot, he still typed "gg". People saying he's screwed every viewer over must have forgotten about the other 3 games he played. Personally, i'll remember the probe rush longer than any other game that was played tonight, it wasnt done to insult anyone, he did it to skip the formalities and finish sooner. Seriously, it might not have been the most "Honorable" thing, but i dont think its comparable to spitting in goms face or anything. Chill guys. ^_^

However, I guarantee you that you won't be able to name a single scenario that worker rushing will win a game in a legit professional tournament... Point is, 6 pool is a cheese, worker rush is intentionally throwing away your game. There is a difference. Morrow beat strelok with a worker rush! ![]()

Stephano 6pooling Cloud (Terran) 2 games in a row when he was 0-3 in the group in a game that actually mattered. It made naniwa have to beat sheth to advance, which he did. Now naniwa does the same in a game that doesn't matter and people go apeshit crazy. It's so obvious you're hating on Naniwa just for the sake of being a Naniwa-hater. Was it idra doing this, you all would go "IdrA just doesn't care, he's so bad-ass!!". zzz Very appreciated input. Such a crazy amount of overreacting just because it's nani... how can anyone even think the game would have been good when it didn't matter the slightest?

You know what is funny? He complained that Catz had the same treatment than him or something like that, right? It seems he really don't understand how a sport becomes a business, how is that possible to be "pros" in this game. Hope the people from Quantic do something about it, because it upsets me that people that PAYED have one less game to watch, just because he decided not to play. Edit: I don't care about the winner, but the games. If Leenock loses, I will still want to watch his games. But if he loses by 6 pooling I might reconsider if he is worth my time/money next time. Do you guys watch it just for results or because you want good games? =/

How about a 6 pool? It's obvious that Naniwa was throwing the game whereas 6 pool is a viable strategy against greedy players

The choices tournaments make are often give-and-take and depend upon the professionalism of players and their teams. When people like Naniwa do what they do it undermines the system of trust (sports is all about trust, and the perception that what occurs is above board) and organizers, fans, and fellow pros have every right to be upset.

If you don't understand the lack of professionalism (especially since he JUST moved to a new team who BOUGHT his contract) then nobody will be able to explain it to you.

It happens but its not common and rightfully so, they will be criticised about it. Those teams that do not have a chance to win the title still play out their games.
