Since this whole topic degenerated into the usual balance flamefest where every topic ends up if unmoderated it's time for it to clean up. Locking this down for a while. Any posts made after my post [page 233] not addressing the changes in this patch directly and containting flames or general balance whine will get banned for at least a week. ~Nyovne

barrack build time to give z more time to get defences out to deal with bunker rushes? 5 seconds is a long time for a marine not to show up, or for a bunker to be delayed

really happy with the protoss patches (as a protoss) however i am worried that the blink research time leaves you very vunrable to any sort of timing where blink is required (muta etc)


edit annoyed the infestor didnt get a bigger nurf.. or templar archives build time to be shorter..

Wow, I think everyone can be reasonably happy with these changes.

I mean even terran players should be happy to see the infestor nerf and blink research nerf.

Obviously people at Blizz are irritated when it comes to APM spam. Wonder how many "pro" players are going to keep doing it now to "warm up their fingers"

SCVs can no longer repair themselves while inside a Bunker or Medivac.

Baneling's Attack Structure ability is now a toggle to Enable/Disable Attack Structure. The toggle will determine whether structures are valid targets for auto-attack. This change fixes an issue which caused Banelings to prioritize buildings over hostile units.

APM change is odd. Don't know if that was necessary or not. Guess 300 early game APM was imba.

On the repair thing, does that mean that an SCV cannot repair itself or are they nerfing the TL Attack viking trick?

Baneling structure option seems to be removing some micro, but I don't have that much of an opinion on it.

mech is getting worse and worse, first thors got nerfed into oblivion now hellions are significantly worse and immortals are even better vs tanks lol guess blizzard wants to see only bio

QFT, I really hate how they always put these major patches in the middle of the biggest tourney (which Blizzard publicly supports). Just hope they don't literally make this live few days before the finals. It really sucks for the majority of the P that already got knocked out while the ones that are good (or lucky) enough to stay in now gets a huge advantage.

Sentry Guardian Shield now correctly reduces damage from Hellion, Void ray, and Colossus attacks as well as the Siege Tank’s sieged attack.

SICKKKK maybe pvp will be less colossus and more immortal sentry stalker

it's pretty obvious that overall terran's getting hit by the nerf bat harder, but I think it's warranted given the terran domination in Korea. However, not sure how things will work out for terrans outside of korea...

Strange about the rax build time, is this a response to 2rax? I feel like that build has been quite figured out, zergs have learned to punish Terrans who invest too much into the rush, and I feel like it has fallen out of favor on most maps. Unless they have some deeper motive, which I'm guessing may be true.

The build time for Ultras could work somewhat. One of the problems with Ultras is that they left Zerg vulnerable for long periods and protoss could remax with collossi just as fast and terrans could get an effective amount of marauders much more quickly than Zerg could produce them.


Yeah I'm glad they decreased the ultralisk build time. I am a little surprised the carrier remains at 120 seconds though tbh... I get the feeling the carrier is going to be hit with a massive renovation for HotS.

5 seconds rarely effects the outcome of a successful 2rax

Either zerg reacts properly or they do not, 5 seconds later is still not long enough to have zerglings out yet so it's trivial.

what i am laughing with joy this is so sick hahah as a protoss I could not be happier right now.

EDIT: Immortal buffed, warp prism buffed, mother ship buffed in return for 30 more seconds to blink research? wow. This is so cool. Cool. Cool cool cool.

I am so pumped for that mothership buff, the immortal buff will help not only pvp but pvz and pvt. The warp prism thing is so neat too. And infestors got a minor nerf? ahhahahah. Wow. So happy.
