Sitting on my lunch break, browsing TL.net (specifically IPL results), drinking a pepsi, and the question popped into my mind, what does the TL community think is better, Pepsi or Coke?

For me, it depends on my mood. Sometimes coke is too harsh and I prefer pepsi.

I'm not a pop drinker at all so I'm prolly not a good opinion... but I do drink pop for alcohol mixing purposes

and I prefer coke for mixing drinks, I think its a lil more syrupy / thick so it's better for mixing / chasing alcohol.

My roommate likes coke more but I can drink either and it really depends on my mood. In blind tests, more people choose pepsi but most people prefer coke. Coke has better name I suppose =/

ediT: I hate doctor pepper.

I chose pepsi because I mainly drink diet pepsi.

But y'know, after mowing the lawn or doing some other form of outdoor work, nothing quite beats that first sip out of an ice cold can of Coca-Cola.

Always been Coke. I've always found Pepsi to be a flatter, sweeter version of Coke, and that just doesn't jibe with me.

When 2 products are so similar that you can choose with no drawbacks. Then I always choose the one with the smallest market share as my little contribution to free market competition, which stimulates innovation and progress.

Pepsi all the way! However, I don't have a problem with Coke when it comes from a fountain. Canned Coke tastes slightly different because (I assume) there is less carbonated water, which for some reason tastes odd to me. Pepsi doesn't seem to have this difference, at least where I live (Chicago).

yeah i thought this poll would be lopsided because of coca cola sponsoring GSL. drink whatever tastes better not which one spends more money to grab your attention.

I usually prefer any brand of root beer, non alcoholic sangria (which is as close to awesome soda gets) or sprite like drinks if I'm drinking soda. Overall, however, I find soda kinda yucky.

Pepsi and Coke always tasted almost the same to me (rather unsatisfying) and I'd prefer to have water or some kind of fruit juice.
