I met him in school, and he was contagious with this SC disease... I caught the disease, and felt a renewed passion for SC. My APM has increased from 40 to 100 without useless clicking. I was taught formations, and unit control. My hate for micro soon became my favourite passion under his guidance. I was brought up to realize that macro > micro. (I was micro-crazy after learning it, so tried to win future games with 80% micro, 20% macro.) I was able to memorize complete StarCraft unit/building information. I was taught the unit damage types and armor types (he drew a chart for me). I know build orders!!!!!! (omg wtf 1337!) Most importantly, he brought me to the light. I am a maphacker. I've been a maphacker for a long time. I look back and still see myself lose with maphack on. I would wonder... wtf? After I befriended him, he beat maphacking out of me. He'd beat me relentlessly and tell me afterwards he knew what I had. I now realize the importance of scouting. He'd bring stories of how SC is affecting the world, and funny stuff to school. But he'd always tell me to scout. He'd nag and nag, going on and on about how important scouting is. I'd endure all his criticism, because it was true. A more mature player now, I have come to realize the evils of maphacking, have abstained for a year now, and don't have any plans to contribute to it. I owe my starcraft career as a sub-average player to him, because he brought me out of the den of newbies. He moved to Waterloo during this seemingly-short summer. I can no longer communicate as often, and we rarely play games together. But if you're reading this, you are the coolest person I've met, and I cherish the time we spent together during class when we talk about starcraft and bore the people beside us as we drone on and on about latest progamer matches, strategies, tactical data, etc... And no one could say anything, because you had usually the highest mark in your subjects. Even though I'm a year older, you taught me how to play right. I am passing on the lessons you have taught me to my friends and family. Perhaps someday they too will realize the hidden messages within them, and continue to pass it on to their friends and family. Thanks for introducing me to proper StarCraft gaming, this wonderful community of TL.net from which I can study strategies/replays, and making me realize truly that good manners is everything in a StarCraft game. Testie: Dishonourable mention: Tart or Randominatee. For being an idiot and liking the music produced by Children of Bodom. Other than that, he's one superb fellow. But man, Bodom? Seriously people. Grow up and get taste in music. Now you must die. Bodom produces MAGNIFICENT metal. I LOVE it. I saw them and concert and I loved them even more. I very much like the vocals, I think they are enjoyable and humorous, but I can see as to why you so heavily dislike them. I don't think many people who don't REALLY like metal can get past the vocals and enjoy their true art ~ You're a super-cool fellow yourself Forgot to add you =P | ||

I almost feel like I have to do one of these long ones NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE I FORGET. I've gotten to know oh so many people through my years sooo yeah. and I guess I'll only include the ones that I know read/post on these forums. CORBALT the person I've known the longest whom I still talk to, although only sporadically nowadays. had more in common before I guess, but I still love him. we used to think very, very alike, and we often ended up saying the same jokes at the exact same moment. like, OFTEN. lindsay is the man. moraelin he's my favourite faggot, and the person I've known the second longest. if zia hadn't objected and he had actually managed to come to san fransisco, I would've let him have his way with me just cause he's so adorable. nazgul well I flew down to holland by myself to spend two weeks at his house, something I defininininitely don't regret. it was awesome. he actually accused me of hacking like the third time we played together, and he had a pretty good reason to do so, but he did it in private and without making a big fuzz out of it so it actually made me respect him in a way. I also remember the first game I played against him, it was a pvt me 6 him 9 and I had 6 expansions running before he got his second natural. haha.raszi didn't know/like you much before I went to holland to visit naz. and ended up making a great friend whom I also happened to visit again. much <3 lex. you're a fucking bitch when it comes to riding bicycles with passengers though oaral chris klaver is amazingly cool. there's not really much else to say. you're fucked up, but amazingly cool. meat his name is joy. and it's very appropriate, because he brings plenty of it. rekrul he's actually extremely similar to myself. the one person next to corbalt whom I've had the most same-joke-at-same-time moments with. he's sorta um, blunter though, and doesn't care if people don't like him. but at the same time he's hilarious about it. testie haha we've had a rather.. turbulent relationship. lets take a quick rundown. I first got to know him around at the end of 1.07, we played 3 games. he wins 3-0 and I'm finding his play a tad suspicious. he did however compliment my play so I ended up sorta liking him anyway. then two days after 1.08 comes out, we face eachother in a tournament final. I mutilate him 3-0 and that sorta makes rumours of him still hacking (he had been caught more than a year prior to the first time we played) start appearing. I was a vanilla player at that time though, and testie mostly played bw, so he just stopped playing vanilla to get away from it. a couple of months afterwards testie challenges me to redeem himself, and ends up winning the first two games. however I then won the next two, whereas the second game was that infamous replay in which he got caught hacking. after that we had a long period of time where I would insult him and he would get offended, me rek corb and naz were trying to make his bnet experience as unenjoyable as possible, and we found it hilarious. after a while I got tired of it, and I messaged him going like "hey testie" and he responded with a pretty long tirade about how he was sick and tired of us bothering him, like many many paragraphs, and then I told him how I had actually messaged him to bury the hatchet cause I felt it had been such a long time and I found it likely that he had matured by now. and today, I love him dearly, which means he has to be �bercool to go from being about the most disliked person and then becoming one of the ones I like the most. :-)and his hair is so fluffy and adorable. veg he's an all around cool guy. there's not really anything "special" about us though. marius well most of you guys don't know him, but he makes me laugh more than anyone else. he's so.. honest in a really innocent and humorous way, yet at the same time he lies a lot, but NEVER with malicious intent. he's about the nicest guy I've met, and while he jokes around a lot, and sometimes his joking can be interpreted as mean, it never is. oh such a cutie. to anyone who didn't make the cut, better luck next time. plenty more I couldve mentioned this is updated even though I just closed the thread actually. but the reviving might make people view it and I basically just want to say that team liquid members are still the coolest.  | ||
