I'll say TeRRaN~YoU~uP too. That guy has done some things that he probably doesn't realize, and are possibly coincidental, but still important. I recognized him from the Battle.net Starcraft forums. He gave me my first challenging public 1v1 game. At the end of that game, he brought me into Nohunters where I met many of the high-level players of the time. Fast-forward a few years later. My friend and I were playing a public 2v2 and run into TeRRaN~YoU~uP. It was the most challenging public 2v2 game we had had so far - one of the closest and most memorable games ever. During that game, all of us were disconnected from Battle.net. When we reconnected, we saw that a software update was available - it was 1.08. What I would have given for a replay of that game! I never saw TeRRaN~YoU~uP again. | ||

Old school: Isolatee: I think most people meet someone that brings them out of that ugly maelstrom of fastest $$ and into the world of limited resources. Not only that, but he introduced my to the channel vixxen, which then morphed into gg-manner, and in that channel I enjoyed BW more than anytime before or since. Daem0nicus: With whom I have a horrible record, but have had a great time playing. I swear he is like a personality clone of Casper... , which makes me kind of shudder. Recently: Fakesteve and the rest of the 307 people: are all gm and fun to be around. Also, playing Steve boosts my ego after I crush him time and time again. vgl- : More recently I have gamed with the vGl- people, and they are all a lot of fun and right around my level. (Except GroT, who I wont play ever again so I don't lose my winning record) Testie: Yeah hes ok. :p A very cool person who better make it to WCG otherwise I have to take Veg's money by myself  | ||

I ended up making a bunk just above his ramp and letting him lurk tech and destroy it while I expanded and switched to metal. The most exciting part about this game was the ending .. poor MhX. He teched to defilers @ 9 and went hydras then when I brought my tanks up his ramp, he swarmed my tanks. The hydras were dealing 0 damaged to my covered tanks but were dropping like flies. Oh the hilarity of that game will never ever die. We have shared so many fun fun games. Another particularly memorable one was when we both teched to 200/200 and dropped 200 drones on a public gamer. Wow, that was so fun. Glad to know you MhX. M[ap]h[a]X fighting~ Bru-X17 aka X[cF] aka BrualS aka SeduCe (etc): I learned terran from him indirectly back a couple of years ago. He has always been an influence on my gaming style. We have had our share of spats and arguments and we've never really seen eye to eye until the past couple of months or so, but it's hard to find a better friend than Bru. Tittybang: What a moron. And that's why I love him. He is the single only individual who can talk and act like he does (very jelloish) and get away with it, in my book. Although it doesn't seem like it and he doesn't show it often, he can be very respectful and humble. I have screenshots!EchoOfThunder: He was the first person to PM me on tl.net, and we've been chatting since then. Echo has a naturally coolness aura about him. He is always indirectly showing me new protoss tricks I commonly use in game. I met him in school, and he was contagious with this SC disease... I caught the disease, and felt a renewed passion for SC. My APM has increased from 40 to 100 without useless clicking. I was taught formations, and unit control. My hate for micro soon became my favourite passion under his guidance. I was brought up to realize that macro > micro. (I was micro-crazy after learning it, so tried to win future games with 80% micro, 20% macro.) I was able to memorize complete StarCraft unit/building information. I was taught the unit damage types and armor types (he drew a chart for me). I know build orders!!!!!! (omg wtf 1337!) Most importantly, he brought me to the light. I am a maphacker. I've been a maphacker for a long time. I look back and still see myself lose with maphack on. I would wonder... wtf? After I befriended him, he beat maphacking out of me. He'd beat me relentlessly and tell me afterwards he knew what I had. I now realize the importance of scouting. He'd bring stories of how SC is affecting the world, and funny stuff to school. But he'd always tell me to scout. He'd nag and nag, going on and on about how important scouting is. I'd endure all his criticism, because it was true. A more mature player now, I have come to realize the evils of maphacking, have abstained for a year now, and don't have any plans to contribute to it. I owe my starcraft career as a sub-average player to him, because he brought me out of the den of newbies. He moved to Waterloo during this seemingly-short summer. I can no longer communicate as often, and we rarely play games together. But if you're reading this, you are the coolest person I've met, and I cherish the time we spent together during class when we talk about starcraft and bore the people beside us as we drone on and on about latest progamer matches, strategies, tactical data, etc... And no one could say anything, because you had usually the highest mark in your subjects. Even though I'm a year older, you taught me how to play right. I am passing on the lessons you have taught me to my friends and family. Perhaps someday they too will realize the hidden messages within them, and continue to pass it on to their friends and family. Thanks for introducing me to proper StarCraft gaming, this wonderful community of TL.net from which I can study strategies/replays, and making me realize truly that good manners is everything in a StarCraft game. Grow up and get taste in music. Now you must die. Bodom produces MAGNIFICENT metal. I LOVE it. I saw them and concert and I loved them even more. I very much like the vocals, I think they are enjoyable and humorous, but I can see as to why you so heavily dislike them. I almost feel like I have to do one of these long ones NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE I FORGET. I've gotten to know oh so many people through my years sooo yeah. and I guess I'll only include the ones that I know read/post on these forums. CORBALT the person I've known the longest whom I still talk to, although only sporadically nowadays. had more in common before I guess, but I still love him. we used to think very, very alike, and we often ended up saying the same jokes at the exact same moment. like, OFTEN. lindsay is the man. moraelin he's my favourite faggot, and the person I've known the second longest. if zia hadn't objected and he had actually managed to come to san fransisco, I would've let him have his way with me just cause he's so adorable. nazgul well I flew down to holland by myself to spend two weeks at his house, something I defininininitely don't regret. it was awesome. he actually accused me of hacking like the third time we played together, and he had a pretty good reason to do so, but he did it in private and without making a big fuzz out of it so it actually made me respect him in a way. I also remember the first game I played against him, it was a pvt me 6 him 9 and I had 6 expansions running before he got his second natural. haha.raszi didn't know/like you much before I went to holland to visit naz. and ended up making a great friend whom I also happened to visit again. much <3 lex. you're a fucking bitch when it comes to riding bicycles with passengers though oaral chris klaver is amazingly cool. there's not really much else to say. you're fucked up, but amazingly cool. meat his name is joy. and it's very appropriate, because he brings plenty of it. rekrul he's actually extremely similar to myself. the one person next to corbalt whom I've had the most same-joke-at-same-time moments with. he's sorta um, blunter though, and doesn't care if people don't like him. but at the same time he's hilarious about it. testie haha we've had a rather.. turbulent relationship. lets take a quick rundown. I first got to know him around at the end of 1.07, we played 3 games. he wins 3-0 and I'm finding his play a tad suspicious. he did however compliment my play so I ended up sorta liking him anyway. then two days after 1.08 comes out, we face eachother in a tournament final. I mutilate him 3-0 and that sorta makes rumours of him still hacking (he had been caught more than a year prior to the first time we played) start appearing. I was a vanilla player at that time though, and testie mostly played bw, so he just stopped playing vanilla to get away from it. a couple of months afterwards testie challenges me to redeem himself, and ends up winning the first two games. however I then won the next two, whereas the second game was that infamous replay in which he got caught hacking. after that we had a long period of time where I would insult him and he would get offended, me rek corb and naz were trying to make his bnet experience as unenjoyable as possible, and we found it hilarious. after a while I got tired of it, and I messaged him going like "hey testie" and he responded with a pretty long tirade about how he was sick and tired of us bothering him, like many many paragraphs, and then I told him how I had actually messaged him to bury the hatchet cause I felt it had been such a long time and I found it likely that he had matured by now. and today, I love him dearly, which means he has to be �bercool to go from being about the most disliked person and then becoming one of the ones I like the most. :-)and his hair is so fluffy and adorable. veg he's an all around cool guy. there's not really anything "special" about us though. marius well most of you guys don't know him, but he makes me laugh more than anyone else. he's so.. honest in a really innocent and humorous way, yet at the same time he lies a lot, but NEVER with malicious intent. he's about the nicest guy I've met, and while he jokes around a lot, and sometimes his joking can be interpreted as mean, it never is. oh such a cutie. to anyone who didn't make the cut, better luck next time. plenty more I couldve mentioned this is updated even though I just closed the thread actually. but the reviving might make people view it and I basically just want to say that team liquid members are still the coolest.  | ||

. Drew and I had one hell of a time in Lansing, and Dayton. I only wish that I could hang out with these guys more often being that they rule. Rekrul ranks in my top 5, as does BigBalls, both being super cool guys who have helped me a ton when it comes to BW, and been great friends as well. Eri/Testie's incredible manner and happiness is beginning to grow on me as well, so I can say that I am definetly glad I met them! Even though I was not mentioned in their lists, but it is by all means understandable, since we have not known each other very long. | ||

yeah I saw, I won tons of games with that strat, it rocked. ^_^ which reminds me of that guy JimKeeley, with several thousand games on his account. he had a strategy page, and this one time, he asked me for my muta build on dire. Stygg - I've had so many close games with him. Once I started playing bw again after a one and a half year break, playing him over many games helped shake the rust off . LeJester - the first one from Public chat KJ (east) I ever played, I think. I still remember earlier this year during springtime, I was unemployed and had all the time in the world for BW. He was the only on online during my daytime so we played a lot of games. Cool guy, doesn't seem to take things too seriously and is easy to get along with, at least to me Revlett - you know it man. Mature guy, good Terran and he has my respect for being probably the most mannered guy I'll ever play BW with. He doesn't brag about victories like others may at times, and my units have pummeled into submission many times in the (almost always) close games we have. Payt - young but smart and a lot more mature than other guys his age (he just turned 15 I think). I've had a lot of close games with him as well. He has balls and always seems to say what he thinks without sugar coating it too much, regardless who he's talking with. I respect that attribute, especially considering his age. More often than any other poster, he's the one who says exactly what I wanted to say TarkinTheProud - also a youngster but very cool, wise and mannered. Where other newcomers to the game refuse to heed the advice of other, more experienced players, Tark has always shown enough humility to realize listening to others is a good way to improve. Bushard - Does not take shit from anyone and seems a very fiery person. Asks a lot of personal questions, I enjoy that, it's like he takes a personal interest in whoever he's talking to. Makes you feel somewhat important. He's a very inconsistant player, but he can certainly rock my world when he's on a hot streak. Many others that deserve a mention too, but these are the ones I've gotten to know the most. | ||

He was very cool and funny, played 4 games on pgt wich i of course died horrible all the time. He even said i could add him on europe if i wanted to obs games. I did, but then i never went online so i didnt have the chance to obs it. | ||
