We went from June 27th to July 1st and tomorrow we'll probably have a new one. Just remember that all these dates are just speculations without an official confirmation from Blizzard. We have no reason to hide our plans, you all know that Phase Two is coming anyway, we'll be more than happy to share with you the official date as soon as it will be available, don't worry! I just don't want to create false expectations, I saw a lot of you being turned down after the "Phase Two in June!" rumor and I don't want that to happen again

I'm HOPING for tomorrow, but that only because of a simple strain of thoughts.
I'm at least thinking like this:
-They've said the plan is to close Phase 2 a "couple of weeks before release". Meaning 10-18ish days.
-They also said that it would be up for a "couple of weeks" meaning again, 10-18ish days.
-If they open the 1st and close the 15th they have 14 days open and 12 days to recoup everything before release.
So I'm not specifically thinking the 1st, just that it's right around the corner either way. Could be 1st, could be 8th. Could be something in between. But I won't bite on any kind of bait before I see a blue post stating a date. Or in Blizzard's case, a "we're working on it right now". I doubt we'll hear a date before they say "we're doing it now". That's just how they roll.
-Look at WoW betas; They suddently pop.
-Look at SC2 Phase 1; It suddently popped (with a "sometime this month" kind of post beforehand).
Anyways, have a nice wait watching VoDs and playing YABOT

Sounds right, I expect there will be alot of downtime too as they probably want to use it to stress test their servers and see how the initial database reset will work out. In the meantime I'm thinking about playing wow again in order to do the new dungeon.

After thoughtful consideration I have come to the conclusion that Blizzard's SC2 team are big football fans.
Think about it. Phase one stopped just short of World Cup start date, and now it looks like the Phase two will start after the finals. I bet they spend their working time drinking beer and watching football together or many took their free days during world cup.
While we think they are working hard on making patches and getting servers ready for launch date.
Shame on you Blizzard!

WoW EU Servers just got the 3.3.5 Patch which implements the real ID feature aswell as connection to bnet 2.0.
I guess they wont start phase 2 of SC2 Beta right after taking this step in WoW - it would be too much of a stresstest for the fragile bnet 0.2. They even delayed the WoW patch for europe just in case of some major problems on the US servers.

If it's going to be up at least two weeks before release, I think that we can safely say it will be up the 12th at the latest. My personal guess is will actually be on the 12th.

Think about it. Phase 2 will probably not go up until Real ID and Patch 3.3.5 is fully up on all the WoW servers. I believe they are doing maintenance on the EU servers as we speak. I imagine that they'll take a few days to be sure things are ready/make other small changes they need, and then we will probably hear something.

Even if phase 2 comes out on the 1st and gets taken down after two weeks, that means it goes down on say the 15th at the latest, which is still 12 days before release. granted I figured they were going to bring down beta for good about a week before release. I have some friends working in the video games industry, and believe me when launch date get close they work their ass off like crazy!
I mean its not like they are reading the forums on TL and are laughing at us; Look how hype they are now, lets make them wait more so once they get phase 2 they wont flame like in phase 1
Bottom line we are 1 month away from release and like 2 weeks max from phase 2. Its summer time, lets enjoy our last free time before getting completly addict to a video game again.

i like how bliz says they hope to have the beta back up in early july and everyone flips out. early july means july 1st! then someones sees july 1st and creates another forum and perpetuates the cycle even faster. as much as i want sc2 back up i'm not gonna get my hopes up until someone posts a link from an official bliz admin.

I'm still shooting for Friday... BUT its 4th of July weekend and I'm sure Blizzard doesn't want to have guys working on the servers if the beta goes back up.

July 4th is a Sunday, and most businesses will be giving July 5th (Monday) off as the Holiday, perhaps Blizzard included - let's not forget these people are entitled to vacation as well.

On the other hand, Cataclysm beta just got launched midnight (for where I live anyway) a few minutes, maybe an hour ago tops. Who knows when second phase might pop out of nowhere for Sc2.

Well honestly I think the Phase 2 should start as soon as possible because if something major happens, for example; bad results on the stress test then they would only have a short time to tweak and then have the stress test again before release.

Realistically Phase Two is porbably for stress testing before release, so i don't find it unlikely they will stress test right up until release-date...
And they said Phase Two will run for two weeks sooo....
Two weeks before release seems plausible.

I feel your pain... But in my case, I bought the cards and then my car broke down and I couldn't work, so I had to sell my cards back for like 10% of what I bought them for.

they're most certainly including the hidden 4th race (gummy bears) in phase 2. otherwise phase 2 makes no sense.

We all know phase 2 is going to get rid of all the things they've done in the beta, just take BW, and call it SC2 by adding in watch-towers on old BW maps. Duh! How have you people not realized this???
