Iris got raped by a fucking reaver.
I can't really blame EffOrt or SnOw because nobody expected SnOw to win, and EffOrt just got outplayed by what Jaedong did. Hiya outplayed Movie with a ton of well casted EMPs and a ton of tanks. Perfectman's near-perfect reaver micro raped Iris. Jaedong won his JvZ against Effort before Lair was done and Backho successfully canon-rushed Snow. See how rewording stuff makes it sound so different? Yeah except, movie did a terrible build, Iris looked like he had no idea what he was doing, and SnOw is a terrible protoss. Yeah and Hiya is 1-9 in last 10 games and Perfectman is Oz's 3rd Protoss (which says alot when he's put after Young and Backho most of the time). Don't forget Spear. (lol)

Aha thats it!
Lecaf was SLOW PLAYING US the entire season. They weren't even using their A team...sneaky bastards
"You see...I am not left handed" Seemed like the place for a random princess bride quote.

Well, I guess it's time to retreat into the depths of the CJ clubhouse and have some deep conversations about what went wrong.

what does that have to do with anything
Yeah a Noob playing on Khan A-Team... he is probably C- on iccup -.- People tend to forget that all of them are Progamers for a reason.... They all are freaking goods
I think being a khan fan makes you forget that oDin loses to random terrans and is 6-23 in ZvT

i love the blind fanboyism that emerges in such threads after a decisive victory. ^^

Look, after a while, you run out of superlatives. If every progamer is now supposed to be "freaking goods", then how do you describe:
1: Progamers who are better than average?
2: Progamers who are below average?
3: Progamers who are at the top of the food chain?
4: Progamers who are at the bottom of the food chain?
At some point, you have to re-normalize your language. A "noob" progamer is far better than most people, but you still need a term to describe (and disparage) bottom-of-the-barrel progamers.
In short, it's all relative. If someone's calling them a "noob", assume that it means "relative to other progamers," not "relative to all StarCraft players".

It works real well on iccup I can tell you that first hand. Its much better on that spot(the right) than on the left. The gas is much closer to the ridge on the right. I've had it used on me, shrugged it off and ignored it. It didn't affect me at all. (I was going 2 gate obs - reavers). I lost the game due to inferior mechanics, but that was 20 or so minutes after breaking contain. So? Clearly it works well, did you not watch the game that just happened? It only works if the opponent over reacts. It's not like medusa where you just die if you get cannon rushed successfully. At most, they contain you to 1 base while sacrificing all tech advantages. Snow pulled tons of probes to kill a cannon that wasn't in range of any of his stuff. The cannon wasn't what killed him, it was that the cannon rush diverted his attention from the actual threat of the proxy gate. Had Snow gathered gas and just played it out like the usual vs a proxy gate, he could've had very fast reavers that totally negate the cannons, or range goons that tear cannons apart. Edit : In fact, I still stand by that Snow would have been able to have Reavers in Backho's base before backho had goons, especially with his gateways so far away. Dude after the cannon gets placed securely on the high ground..they build 2 more cannons THAT REACH YOUR GAS just below the 2 cannons on the high ground. The high ground cannons have enough range to hit unranged goons (range cant possibly be done in time). So basically you have to give free hits in order to force him to cancel the cannons(which he then instantly rebuilds) or hope you can pick off enough probes where he has forgotten to send more in order to stall until range is done. Either that or hardcore pressure the high ground cannons with an aggressive 2 gate like we saw here. Both are very difficult to do if you don't scout the cheese(but nowadays..especially after this game, you can be sure almost all decent players will check it). In this game though we saw backho just flat outmicro Snow. What iccup level do you play at? I play at D+. So yeah, not exactly the same thing, I'll admit. I have had that happen to me, but I forgot that aspect... I was able to delay the second two cannons for long enough to get several goons out, though. I check for proxies on HBR every game with my first scout, it's pretty necessary for the map (or any 2 player maps), that was the most bizarre thing to me about Snow that game (his basic lack of scouting for so long). I thought it was more Snow just playing poorly rather than Backho playing brilliantly.

I can't really blame EffOrt or SnOw because nobody expected SnOw to win, and EffOrt just got outplayed by what Jaedong did. His strat was actually very good, it was the execution that was horrible. it was terrible. He completely gave away his intentions by building that robo RIGHT by the Nexus. "Oh look, a robo that is unbelievably late, I wonder what is happening". His recall failed, and it was the best recall he could of gotten. He would have had a much better chance if he played more regular or whatnot. ... Do you understand what you're saying? The strategy was PERFECT. That's what makes Hiya's win so unbelievable. By the time Hiya saw the fast arbs, he was already screwed. It was already past the timing when terran could punish such greedy tech play. That's why Hiya kept turtling for his near-maxed army before pushing out. Movie pretty much already had a 2nd main by the time Hiya pushed out. His advantage was ridiculously huge. But his engagement of the terran army was facepalm worthy.
No, it wasn't that his timing was gone, it was the two DTs that kept him hostage in his base. Hiya got a decently fast academy, and he already had a starport building with his 3rd cc. Do you not remember that HiyA had a science vessel at his nat when movie recalled? Most terrans wait until 200/200 3/x + 3 base to push on colo anyways.
the win isn't unbelievable on HiyA's part, it's unbelievable how terrible movie was that game.

And therein lies the problem. When the Protoss have an advantage, you never wait for the Terrans to max out before exploiting it. A Maxed-out Terran army, with appropriate upgrades, is just too powerful. You have to cut that ball down and rely on your faster unit production, and you have to do it the minute you have a maxed-out army. If you let the Terrans make the first move, as Movie did here, you lose.

Ugh some of the CJ players still need some consistency but I'm proud that they tried. I will always believe
