CJ's ace options are limitless here, but since they know who's coming out for Oz, they are free to prepare a snipe a la Leta. I'm excited. The advantage, however, is always with Jaedong.
Ace map is Neo Harm so JD doesn't really need to worry about Movie as much and can focus more on Effort/Skyhigh etc.
Oooh, that's smart. That may be why Oz thumbed down Outsider which is viable for all three races.

effort's loss in gom won't effect him much. iris practiced specifically for effort, while effort concentrated on the proleague.
GOM SPOILER
Thanks for spoling it i haven't watched the GOM games yet ;(
They're pretty old. They obviously were not a priority to you.
2 days? i just couldnt stay up after the pl playoff though i wanted to and i had to work today... besides i dont think the vods are out. I was interested
Im not going to predict anything... the playoffs its just a diferent thing.. some players start to play like stars (miracle) and somes others chokes (leta).
Just hoping for some sicks games from both sides.. and of course great ZvsZ betwen Jd and Effort

Yea... Effort was in his hot streak when he was in the OSL but what happened? o yea, eliminated. Even when JD was "slumping" and exhausted. Jaedong no matter what player and especially zerg he faces is the favourite. I know effort has the 2nd best zvz but so did luxury at one point but he still got trounced by JD. This time I think that JD will win because he's angry. You know he's not happy losing to Effort 0-2 in GOM and he wants to even out the record. Jaedong recognizes him as his rival and when that happens, well he wins in clutch situations like say vs Flash or vs Bisu. This is Jaedong's time for revenge and Jaedong is going to prove who is the real overmind and who is the cerebrate.
Effort is on a zvz roll and Jaedong has been playing tired lately. I think playing a championship hungry ace on a ridiculous hot streak will make it even harder for JD. (as much as i like JD)
JD having to worry about movie? He'd absolutely destroy movie, CJ wouldn't send him. It's either Effort or some kind of Iris or Skyhigh snipe because ZvT is JD's weakest.
Going off TLPD, not only is TvT Skyhigh's best matchup (65.38% win rate), it's Lomo's worst (43.59%) - then factor in that Destination is Skyhigh's stomping ground. He's 20-6 on the map (6-2 TvT); Lomo is 5-8 (3-4 TvT). We all know Skyhigh is a monster in the playoffs, and isn't doing okay recently (after a small slump), going 6-4. Lomo is 4-6 for the last 10. I'd say that Skyhigh is the clear favorite for this set.
Now that Effort is out of Gom, he'll have that much less to practice for - even though he put proleague ahead anyway, I'm sure it's a load off his shoulders. And I'll put this in the spoiler just in case, but I'm sure everyone knows by now that Effort did beat Jaedong 2-0.
. They both have MSL matches a few days before, so it will be interesting to see how practice is split there. Effort's ZvZ is 3-0 on Neo Medusa, and Jaedong's is 3-1, with the loss coming from Effort. Either way, both of these players are truly titans, and it's very hard to determine a winner. I believe it could honestly go either way. I'm leaning more towards Jaedong taking it because he hasn't had to carry his team through the playoffs thus far, and has hopefully had some time to rest because of it, where Effort won 3 games last week for his team, and is probably pretty tired.
I'm honestly not going to bother with trying to analyze who will win here. It is Hiya's best match up, he is 2-0 TvP on this map (but they weren't against the highest caliber of opponent ), and Movie is wildly inconsistent. But that's part of what draws me to him. His last match on this map up, he made Leta cry - then lost to Justin the next day. But he still sniped Leta, and I believe he can work the magic again on Hiya.
Iris is hot, Perfectman is a B-teamer. I think it's more likely that he is in the lineup because of Oz's lack of depth, than they've been training him to snipe.
Backho's another player who can be wildly inconsistent, and the little we have seen from Snow hasn't been too impressive (personally just going by record with him - I don't recall his games, though one was against Bisu, so he could have put up a fight). With that said, I think a Snow snipe of Backho is much more likely than a Perfectman snipe of Iris.
Statistically ZvZ is Kwanro's best, and once again, Killer is a B-teamer. Kwanro can lose games horribly, but he can also win them. He's rather inconsistent, but I think he has this.

Jaedong is a fucking beast. If someone other than Backho steps up and wins a game, Jaedong'll take CJ down in the Ace match. As long as it goes to Ace, I think OZ has a great chance of winning.
Jaedong will have to practice for his series vs Canata a day before the playoffs, while Effort will be practicing ZvZ nonstop to prepare for his match versus Calm. It might be a repeat of GOM all over again.

But the thing is, with ZvZ, there's not much flexibility in builds. I do believe mechanics at the end of the day play a huge role in the game, which is why I do believe Jaedong still has the upper edge.
I think the Hiya vs Movie match is key (whatever the result of JD vs Effort is), if Movie plays like he did against Fantasy on MSL or against Leta he should take it, Hiya has been sucking since he lost to Stats on GOM.
