Because the Korean progamers don't have enough time to practice. If all national finals changed their map pool now, which they might, then that's obviously terrible.

blackstar, i don't think it's relevant that you're better on other maps. i don't think tournaments should have to announce their maps more than a couple months in advance. by professional standards (OSL, MSL, etc) and by amateur standards (TSL, WGT events, GG.net events, etc), 2+ months is a lot of time. that's just the way it is. WCG should be the last organization targeted for releasing map pools in a timely manner.

But that they want to use the new Korean maps is normal, they always did that. The whole foreigner scene always used whatever new maps the Korean scene created. And that's good, because otherwise we'd still be playing on fucking Lost Temple. We need new maps... and progamers or wannabe pros need to train for and play on whatever maps the tournament organizers choose.

It's that they announced a map pool. Nationals copy that. And then they changed it. So now they have two different map pools for the same event. If nationals are now also changing it, that's terrible for obvious reasons. But I don't understand why people are now criticizing WCG on following Korea. Which is exactly what people have demanded from them here for years. I thought I was practicing WCG maps. I forced myself to play Gaia and I forced others to play Peaks. All for WCG. Now, I am going to get owned terribly so that's not the issue that much.

They most likely will win WCG because they practice those maps EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK.
