Cosmonarchy BW - Ascension #6

In a little under 2 weeks, Cosmonarchy Brood War will have its 6th Ascension-style tournament, with king of the hill groups and double elimination BO5 playoffs. As of the time of writing we have room for more signups, so if you're interested, pop into our discord server and stake your claim! These tournaments are prized, with cash being payed out at the end of the year. Group stage is set for 4 November, with extra groups available on the 5th if we have enough entrants. We'll be doing playoffs casts over the following Saturdays, with some matches being cast from replays instead of live. Pr0nogo United States301 Posts November 14 2023 17:36 GMT #5 Playoffs round 2 concluded a few days ago, and it had some banger semifinals matches. I highly recommend giving the first set a watch! We'll be picking things back up this Friday and Saturday to finish off the tournament - and on that note, the next tournament's qualifiers have opened up! We already have 12 entrants, but there's no constraints on the number of signups this time around, so if you're interested in competing, pop in on discord and say so!

The champion has been unveiled -- and along the way, we discovered a surprising new talent in Hamster, who finished his first tournament in 2nd place. GGs! Aside from The Shambler running into an unfortunate personal circumstance and having to bow out after losing the Upper Final, this tournament went smoothly, and far more efficiently than the last one - it took two less weeks to play the same number of matches! It was also the event with our highest production quality thus far, with hype transitions for playoffs and a hype intro video to boot! I'll be looking to pump this up going into our final tournament of the year. And on that note, Ascension #7's qualifiers are still open while we finalize the format details.
