Also I might be wrong but I think I remember in ASL 6 or 7 it was said that Effort never lost a bo5, at least until Mini took him out in ASL 7.
Every player pretty much that I care about has been eliminated so I feel your pain. Being an ex-SKT fan this season is pain.
EDIT: Although I do have JyJ left at least.

Hard to pick which T will win

He lost a couple Bo5s in the kespa era (to calm in avalon MSL, to iris in GSL S3, to light in the bigfile MSL).
You might be remembering hearing that he's never list to Flash in a Bo5, aka he beat him 3 different times lol.

OSL finals, ASL finals, and what was the third time Effort beat Flash in a Bo5?

haha i LB'd effort/Mini/JYJ/Rush.
i wouldnt hate it cuz then it's a TvP or TvZ finals. I also think most people on here underestimate JYJ and Rush. Especially JYJ. Think SoulKey and hero are amazing but not really feeling ZvT right now.

I want Effort to win. I really do. He's been playing so well. Inspirational, really.
Sharp has looked surprisingly good! He always struck me as a player who has the early game on lock but utterly loses his game sense when the game demands he take more than 3 bases. That's probably still the case, but he's been winning early so who cares lol.
Rush has looked quite capable. Hero's muta control has been savage.
Mini is just playing his absurd micro coinflippy awkwardness like usual and it's always a joy to watch him make his opponents want to tear their hair out.

Against the others I would give him a fair shot. Toughest possible obstacles probably JyJ, Action and Mini.
I am actually gonna call Action as the champion. His campy ZvT style works extremely well on most of the maps plus he has some crazy aggressive all ins too which he can use to throw off opponent in a series. His ZvZ is also the one that beat Effort in ro24.

I am going to be very wrong about all of the above. This ASL does not care about your thoughts, opinions or predictions. D&D from GOT could take some lessons from this ASL season in diverting expectations.
I mean you are obviously very wrong about all of the above. Action beats Effort in the RO8, yet Effort moves on to the semis, then Effort beats Mini in the semis, but Mini plays in the finals? Yea, that's not quite how these tournaments work...

RO 8 Action < EffOrt. Mini > Sharp JyJ > Soulkey HerO > Rush
RO4 Effort > Mini Hero > JyJ
Finals Hero > Effort

Mini of all protoss carrying the flag? WTF... I really hope one of the zergs wins this season, all of them absolutely deserve it. Rush, you will have to wait for ASL54 LOL..

8 Hero > Rush Soulkey > JyJ Mini > Sharp Action > Effort
4 Soulkey > Hero Mini > Action
2 Soulkey > Mini

Hero is a boring vanilla Zerg. If any Zerg is to win, SK, Effort and Action are way more deserving. And definitely no ZvZ finals!
End the Terran domination, please. Even if it means Rush missing out on fulfiling his destiny as ASL champion once again.
Hard not to empathise with Toss these days. The race is at the brink of beng wiped out by genocide.
By process of elimination, that means SK-Mini showdown it is!

I have a feeling a zerg will win this season. I'm rooting for Action & herO

Wow Action just ran through Royal.

Best had moments where he looked next level but then best reverted to form.
