Dark Origin is a Zerg map. It's good for Zerg in ZvT too. But tbf it has to stay there because of the Zerg massacre by Terran last season on every other map.

That kind of game can happen on any map though. Best was behind after the early game so he got Lurker contained. This time it's not Hydra opening but he still had to build a bunch of Cannons because Action transitioned to Hydra really quick. Well, guess what? Those Cannons ended up doing more harm than good. And combined with the layout of the entrance like a tunnel, it's just impossible to break out of a Lurker contain.

I have more issue with game 2 than game 3 really.

I think Rush and Soulkey are too strong for their side of the bracket. Calling it now. Finals between them and as a tradition since Season 11, we will have a new champion each time. This time it will be Rush because it's a TvZ and also because he's due one.

Oh I thought Rush and Soulkey are on different bracket. Now it's like Major Proleague bracket and K-League bracket lol. The top 4 contenders are all in the same bracket now . If Mini performs to his true power he should walk the lower bracket, too bad he's in a slump now.

You can sim city to make the two entrances become one. The problem is with that sim city your Cannon placement looks like shit in the case of a Hydra bust, and that's how Rain died to Calm. But two-entrance natural is not the issue. Revolver is like that and it's a Protoss favored map in PvZ. Invader is okay for PvZ I think, currently at 49% which is better than the likes of Polypoid.

But can anyone explain to me how Best got contained in game 3? His only notable loss in the early game is the 4 zealot poke which died to Mutas. Just that really? After that he had virtually no units to prevent the contain before it started. And it's not like the move out with 4 zealots is a mistake because what else can you do at that state of the game?

what about making 2 cannons in main, 1 in natural mineral line, and about 2-3 too many against potential hydras? he skipped mid game entirely

Was that 2 in main? I thought he made only one which is reasonable. The 2-3 to defend Hydras I think was justified. Without them Action could've dived in and killed him like he did to Mini in Ro24. But it's true that he played too safe in game 3. Even down to the Forge expand. You don't win PvZ at this level without taking some risk.

I favour action for the bottom part of the bracket.
Salty Best threw vs sharp in the first game... But i didnt expect more than one P in the ro8 and it s hard not to be happy for sharp.
Mini s bracket is doable though.

Top part of the bracket is lit, hard to call

Rush and Effort look like the favorites to advance in the next round. The other matchups are unclear. Rush vs Effort finals is becoming quite likely.

i like that the only match with a clear skill gap gets kind of balanced by the fact that the underdog (sharp) is playing is best mu against mini who is playing his worst mu.

both tvz can go either ways,
heart: hero sk
head: oops zvz, plz no

and i almost want to put effort slight favorite, just cuz action looks a bit rusty (doesnt play a lot lately it seems)

Sharp vs Mini is going to be about the early game

if Sharp survives against Mini's early game shenanigans, he is slightly favored in a longer game

according to Sharp, he does OK against Mini's style because Mini does have the tendency to attack into Sharp's bait tactics

I remember one proleague game where Sharp was at 100 supply and came back against Mini who was at 200 supply
