Shudder definitely claimed some turf for his presence as a legitimate terran threat last week in ODT, advancing through the winners game in his group. He's faced with stiff competition though, as group G appears to feature 4 very solid players in one way or another.
Free was an absolute rock during proleague, and his often hyper-aggressive pvt looked to find more of an "inner-peace" so to speak. He should have Shudder's hands full in the opening match.
Terror is probably the least well known of these players, but for those of you who saw the preliminary games, he demonstrated that he is an absolute macro whore, grabbing expansions in a wild fury. Should be an interesting match against Goodfriend; it's too bad they're playing on Monty.
Goodfriend is probably the most unpredictable guy tonight, as he may bring his A or C game to the table. I really haven't seen much of him since mid-season of proleague, so we'll see what he does.

Goodfriend is going for a fast marine/medic with stim drop! A control tower add on is down and his acad is flashing. Lair/den done for Terror. GF still cant get his vult in. Spire halfway done for terror. Terror has lings ready! A ling sees the dropship comming!

hmmm...
terror has expanded to the center nat, has lair and getting spire with hydra den done. he has lair at 3rd hatch at the center wall area.
Goodfriend with some wierd 1 base play? He dropped 1 med 3 rine 1 vult into terror's main, which managed to kill a bunch of lings but that was all.
goodfriend 2 rax, with ebay coming, but it's late. terror's mutas are already out and they're in goodfriend' main.
goodfriend has to defend with one group of mnm.

The dropship picks up the vult by the northern min wall. 2 medics 4 marines and the vult are droped. Terror tries to stop it with his lings but a nice drop postion and a medic wall kills many lings with only 1 marine killed. Mutas out and they deal with the threat. The dropship runs.

2nd vessle out, 2 scourge for terror, he's sending lurker ling down teh center as well.
center mineral wall is open, but now the lurker ling comes, and GF just lost about 8 rines to lurker spines.
mutas pick off a stray empty dropship, a vessle casts irradiate, terror again is bad at the split, but the muta is low hp anyways.

Terror sucks really bad at splitting mutas...thats was god awful.

terror is now right on top of the center mineral wall with his lurkers, kills another 5-6 rines.
Terror now runs ling muta scourge into GF, he gets 1 vessle, almost gets another but GF manages to control mnm vessle aginst the scourge and save his 2nd vessle.
Terror has expanded to his right nat, sunkening up, just as GF drops with 7 rines 1 medic, sunks going down and drones escaping.
dropship dies to scourge, infantry killing thei shit that comes at it, kills alurk but lings overwhelm him.
queen's nest up.

Terror has 5 lurkers though and is in clear control of the game. Goodfriend is just now finishing his cc.

GF wqith 1 tank, pushes back the lurkers at his center wall.
Terror expanding to the 2nd expo in right lane.
GF moving out into right lane with mnm, they meet terror's lurker ling scourge army, looks like 1 vessle dies, GF loses 2/3 of his infantry while terro loses his lings and scourge.
Terror with 12 lurkers still, he's getting hive now.

terror comes in again, scorge die right away to rines, GF with good control, keeps losses to a minimum while killing 3 lurkers or so.
HOwever terro r is relentless, rushing now into GF's right nat that he lifted a cc into.
about 6 lurekrs, GF with bad control (hold position on infantry at right wall), loses half a group of mnm.

terror uses about 8 scourge to kill 2 vessles, he's overpowering GF at this point, showing true macrozerg form.
defiler mound going up, GF trying to regain control of his right nat, does kill a bunch of lurker sthat come in with his tanks but I think he runs out of scan?? scourge has nothing to kill b/c GF doesnt even have vessles.

free gets his probe inside shudder's main via pylon hop through the right lane, takes a look around then dies to 2 rines.
I guess shudder is placing depots in locations where they can't get hit by goons, but are pretty close to the mineral walls.
free uses 2 probes to mine out the right mineral wall, he's opened up a patch now.

free blocks off his choke with pylon + gate, but shudder gets 4 vults by anyways.
mines go up all over the gateways, free forced to use probes to fight, and he's losing tons of units, Free lets out a wry grin now.

Free reacted really poorly to those vults..i was suprised. He shouldve had the probes pulled right away blocking access to his main. His best option now is to just delay this 3 fact push the best he can and hope to counter with 4 gate and some sort of tech.

shudder loses all untis in his contain, JUST gets 2 new tanks from his main to siege up, but free with 3 new goons.
Free did lose his obs though, and shudder lays mines right at the choke b/w his depots (so the wall-choke above free's right nat is even narrower).
shudder now with 4 tanks or so, he's expanding to his right nat (finally).
free has expanded to left nat, it's done, and he's workign on clearing out the mineral wall there.
SHudder sees this with a ebay, he's now making his way into free's main, sieges tanks across the mienrall wall and mining up the main with vults.

shudder had hid 1/2 his infantry and placed 1 rine above the nat area to prevent OL from coming in, now he's making his way across teh map, ONLY 1 SUNK UP!!!!!

meanwhile, shudder has started bulding a cc at nat, started a 3rd rax, and has made several firebats to fend off the ling counter.
some dancing of lings vs mmf around the nat cc going up, terro has to back up to center of map

Shudder's practice finally paid off. He joined a proteam start of 2006 and just practised hardcored till he was good enough for the offline qualis. Think Draco should of done something similar, get his head down and practice like a horse!
Now Shudder is reaping the benefits.

lings run in with speed and pick of fhte infantry, now go into the main, but scvs kill 4 lings right away (strong--;
main mmf force is against approcahign teh nat, stim and they try to run up, DRONE DRILL TO BLOCK, but a lot of drones died, 2 medi 1 firebat survives, they're up in the main, terror escapes the main drones to his nat.
shudder puts up a block on his bat with 2 medics, lints will have a hell of a time killing that.

shudder with yet another group of mnm, this time with 4 medics. terror tries to harass it, loses 1 muta right away in expcahnge for 1 rine.
mnm goes to killt he sunk line, rines just dont die b/c of the mass medics, all sunks down, muta ling comes and kills the rines, I shudder pulling back his remaining medics, they'll... they're joined by ANOTHER mnm group, shudder is relentless with the pressure

terro picking off the rineforcement rines with his mutas, as shudder was rather sloppy with his groupings, but the sunk falls at his nat, all his mutas die when they try to clear, and terror ggs.

GF opens standard as well, seems like his gas was just a tad later than what i'd normally expect in tvp, maybe just the mining speed of that position.
GF going to the wrong way with his scout as well now, they'll see eachother soon.

OOOOOOOOO free puts on a show again with his probe, blocking the ramp to 3 main. however, GF forces his way up by attacking the probe. probe did get a few hits on the scv, which'll make the goon's job easier + it delayed the evenutal scout.
Free with goon now, picks it off 1/2 way bw/ the 1 main and his own main, so GF has NO IDEA what free is up to

For some reason GF lands his rax inside free\'s main.... it\'s fired at by a goon, and it lifts off eventually.
2 factory addons are spinning.
rax is brought down to 90hp or so, it\'ll get repaired I\'m sure.

Jesus christ free sucks so bad vs mines. He pulled his probes only to block his goons movement and prevent them from maneuvering vs mines=/ Thats was horrible.

GF loses that tank again, he has one tank left, scvs block the ramp, free can't get to the last tank, vults out, try to kill the 3 remaining goons but free micros and picks them off!!!
GF lifts his nat cc all teh way back into his main.

Free blcokign off the ramp to 1 main with pylon/gate.
free with about 8 goons outside of GF's nat.
GF moving nat cc back, free sneaks goons into the nat area out of tank range, gf has to land cc at his ramp.

GF moves down his tanks again, and Free comes in with a group of goons, he picks off 2 but it's rather ill-advised, loses more than he killed for sure.
Free just not allowing GF to mine from his nat, just has a huge econ advantage. He really is losing a ton of shit though, and is macroing off of 7 gates, citadel finishes for him as he warps teh 1 nat.

1 zeal 1 goon for free so far, 6 lings out for terror, as he gets his gas in main.
Terror's OL survives with abotu 30 hp. Sair shoudl finish it off though

Terror comes out with hydras with speed, free actually does quite well with slowzeals + 1 goon.
Free loses his sair due to a lapse in control. He has about 5 cannons behind his choke. Citadel is up.
Terror starts lair.

Free with another sair goes to scout around in terror's main.
Terror with hydras outside of free's nat, but allows a dt to get through, it's going towards the 5 main, and terror is indeed expanding there.
No ol no hydras nearby, i dbout terror can get there in time. terror cancels, dt slashes the drone.

O_O free actually kills a ol with sairs, terror with mutas out.
free runs in with zeal ht, but it appears that mutas pick off the ht before it can do much, zeals take out a sunk but that's really about all, ast he attack gets nullified.
mutas flying into free's main, I think it killed a ht, running away from an archon, picking off probes now at the nat, killing the 2 cannons taht are there, free with several ht, probes run away from the nat.

Terror out of nowhere comes in with about 8 mutas and snipes HT's. Zealots dying to the mutas and hydras.

mutas leave for a moment but come back when free remaynards to the nat.
4 goons and archons there to prtect, storm is thrown but is dodged pretty well.
mutas are pretty low in hp now, and they run away towards 12 expo.
Looks like free is now moving out with zeal goon ht and 2 obs, taking out the neutral at the min only.

free takes out the min only of terror, kills 3/4 of the lurkers, now the last one as well, he's left with pure goon.
mutas came in and killed probes at free's nat.
free with a couple units pecking at the 12 epxo as well.
Terror attakcing the goons with lings, but they melt.

Its because terror wasted larvae earlier creating units instead of drones while free was safe with tech and a relatively fast expansion behind his cannons.

Even those mutas if I saw correctly forced probes to run (or they were destroyed) from Frees nat expo. Free lost quite mining time there. It almost had no impact. Impressive macro.

Free vs. GoodFriend was pretty entertaining. It was funny to see Free lose so many goons and probes to those mines and then come back with some nice macro and goon micro.

The games weren't necessaryily "good" but they were fast paced and entertaining. Ok guys lets not hype free up too much He definitely has potential though.
