The reason it doesnt happen imo is because of the simple economics of the current state of brood war. Without some recognition you wont be able to support yourself with streaming alone and therefore must work a job. Taking a lot of time from practice etc. I don't think its some expro worship but rather its very hard for newer blood to logistically break into the pro level. Not even factoring natural "talent". It's just not the type of game (extremely high level skill requiring huge amounts of daily practice) that will allow a newer player to reach the highest levels without patronage. Patronage like lots of balloon gifts etc is very hard to come by for up and coming players. Wish it wasnt the case myself, but that seems to be hard cold reality of broodwar these days.
