Gorki Island could be fun, gaia and andro are "ok" but colo and eyes of the storm are shit for 2x2.

Seems like Kenzy really likes ramps for playing a style he knows best. I agree with g0rynich, maps like this require a very different style and I actually think it's good to have some variaty.

What kenzy wanted to say probably is that there are more fun maps than those he mentioned.

I told you Gorky island could be fun, but Colo and eyes of the storm are actually not fun at all and broken in 2vs2. If you don't know how to play 2vs2 on it, you have no chance and some comp are really bad so yea everyone will have to pick on those maps but why not.
I just think they are not fun to play and watch and on those maps you will have no surprise and just standard play from good players who will crush others.
Trutacz is right, im not asking to play on Python or FS (who are probably the best maps for 2x2) but fun maps that are good to play and obs. Where you can play the race you want and try new things.
Koreans played a tournament like 2 or 3months ago (flash played in it with effort) with new maps, we could try them or some iccup map made for 2vs2.
Anyway i will play in it and im happy to see a 2x2 tournaments. I just want it to be the best experiences for players and viewers.

We don't know what we don't know. :-) I of course respect your 2v2 skill, just saying that this will be on even terms so everyone will face same issues / opportunites, possibly giving us a good game. Btw. personally I hate these 2 maps for 1v1 too, but this is because they just don't match my style. :-)

imo, i find gaia is the worst map out of all because some locations have bad mineral mining + rush distance is all different by the location. also, 12 o clock is the only one location will get harassed by air units so easily and lose bunch of workers. you can see other locations can be defended and mineral fields are on the side of the wall.
colosseum map is definitely fine and i find it interesting because of the neutral sunken with creep. zerg player can use it to defend from there with his sunken, and even if opponent wants to hit from the high ground, the range is not enough and ONLY few units can hit from there(probably maximum 2 with dragoons). mineral mining is totally fair, defending from harassment is fair, short rush distance for any early aggression, etc.
having a variety of maps, concepts is okay, but if the location matters due to the bad mineral fields, i would exclude it.

Didn't they make a balanced version of gaia or atleast the mineral patches part.

Well we are both 1v1 and 2v2 players with Bonyth. We used to played a lot 2v2(not together) in different time periods in past.

There shouldn't be, its actually good so you can feel what high level 2v2 is like as you wouldn't get to play these guys on a regular basis. I wouldn't mind and I'm sure organizer is gonna do some kind of seeding so... should be fine.

i would agree on this with scan, and remove Gaia from maps.

I registered as well, its my first time doing this tourney...Can somebody confirm that only 1 player needs to register? Other just shows up with Main/ captain on day of tourney? Should i just ask other player to register as well?

It's up to tournament's admin, I don't mind for the both sides.
Koreans have been following the old rules from KeSPA no 2 zerg. They are very conservative and still follow that rules.
We got bunch of strategies to beat 2Z now, not as hard as the old scene, but it is still tough(not as hard as before) to win the air battle with corsairs vs muta scourge in ZP vs ZZ match.
Probably this will offend a lot of people, but it's true. A lot of people are unskilled with corsair micro and letting the game collapsed.

my personal opinion on everything
Maps weren't good enough, (fs python missing the ones we play most)
was short notice and no enough time to prepare.
Players were not informed that only 1 needs to check in. some with retarded brain did check in 2 from 1 team and spoiled brackets. i had to wait 3 hours for my 2nd game.
I don't know if the idea of having winners play bo3 is good enough. i prefer that BO1 winners and bo3 losers is better. because good ones can go straight to finals and other ca prove themselves and show that they deserve to be in finals.
I think Zerg plus random should not be allowed. Players have to pick races or say races at game start.
This spoiled my game 1. where i was zerg and played against zerg plus random zerg. makes hard to chose build.
overall everything was not bad, we had some fun. time could be slightly later. 12pm was bit early. but is ok.
there should be always official streamer . thank god we had gorynich last time, but what if he wouldn't come?
BM should be punished.
Also the thing that bonyth did should be punished (change race in last moment)

There's probably only a handful of foreigners who can properly play ZZ anyways. Banning it in the foreign scene seems pretty absurd. It almost reminds me of the no random in certain 1v1 tours.

Don't blame admin for making cool maps (or hard/weird maps in your eyes). Maybe expand your horizon away from python or fs only. When I+ally play vs kenzy/waffle we rotate every 2x2 map we can think about for variation in the games (unless when waffle veto maps 😂)

Maps are fine. Variety of strategies and race picks because of different maps is the right thing most people like to watch. Zz is fine. Disagree its an imba. Sounds for me like tesagi.
