But if the new booths work fine then that's alright. It's just a bit jarring to see open booths in GSL and ASL after years of seeing closed booths in OSL, MSL, GSL, and SSL. Noise cancelling headsets (like the stuff construction workers wear) might have gotten good enough to not need them now. They are noise cancelling headsets and Flash said that it make really loud noise so you can't hear anything. He said that the sound is like tv static.

Sad to see Jaedong lose. I was hoping for a non-TvT finals. Man Jaedong was looking really good but terran is too strong Flash's timings and armies looked so deadly when they'd walk into the map

Man, back from work, only to see Jaedong lost, barely. Sad. At least the games Jaedong won were apparently pretty good.

Jaedong cancelled his hydralisk den.
Watch the VOD around the time when Jaedong's mutalisks pop. Flash scanned the location of Jaedongs ramp. Jaedong for some reason cancelled his hydralisk den.
I thought he made a snap call to go for guardians right there.
But then after building queen's nest I think he changed his mind again and went back to lurkers again. I don't think he forgot lurker upgrade... I think his plan was to change strategy to guardians, but then he changed his mind and abandoned that plan.

Shine was practicing observing games all week. I think it paid off. He did a good job today.!

Against all expectations, he got to game 5. This game 1 was probably the best display of Jaedong's skill and the helplessness a normal player feels against him (even Flash) that makes me hopeful that JD will eventually trump Flash with just a little more practice.
Imagine JD's genius with enough practice to get to Effort's level.
I think ASL3 will actually even out the gap between JD and Flash where you cannot tell the clear favorite. assuming ASL3 starts in march or something, from the buzz inside the community it seems more like mid feb with qualifiers on the 29th of this month. Flash said he might not participate in any more leagues after this. The reason is because every time he wins, his afreeca site and his PM box and his stream chat gets flooded is with "Terran OP""Terran IMBA". This really hurts him bc they are not recognizing how hard he worked to get to where he is. Even some of the fans don't want him participate in any more leagues because flash is going through hard time because of this. If he loses, they shit on him. If he wins, people spam "Terran OP" and "Terran IMBA" He said he's going to talk to Afreeca about it. It is a shame, but I will completely support his decision.

To those not wanting TvT finals you should blame Best instead for not scouting in game 5

I am watching Flash's stream right now.

Ok I rewatched the VOD. The cancelled hydra den was definitely a mind game by Jaedong.

If that was the case he would have rebuilt the den immediately. Instead he rebuilt it much later. In fact he did, when he entered flash's base with his mutas. Hydra Den and then Queen's Nest, according to the minimap.

So, maybe Jaedong's plan was to do a hive rush without lurkers, the fake den intended to get Flash to play a more standard defensive TvZ style, waiting in his base until tanks were out. Then JD saw the 5 rax and knew that Flash was going to move out on the map anyways, then switched back to lurkers.

Jaedong probably wanted to cut some corners, but was too greedy and died
Either way goos to know he lost because of a misplay and not a misclick
