Which if you think about it, isn't too bad all things considered. I really wonder how well BW as a game will do ifwhen Blizzard releases Brood War HD. My suspicion is that if bw hd ever happens, it will be bundled in the sc2 client and will not be released separately.

Is Jangbi or Fantasy working in some hedge fund making 400k USD a year? With the excitement and balance they could possibly bring back I don't think they'd be making more than being a streamer and/or BW celebrity with the way things are shaping out. I think 20k usd a month for those two beasts wouldn't be that hard to clear. I really hope they come back soon.

In fact, I guess I'm okay with Flash retiring from competitive play. He seems to enjoy having a BJ career and has long since proven everything he could've proven in BW. I only wish the guy the best so if he decides to call it quits I ain't gonna be that upset.

He did stream some before going into military, so i hope he will return again.

As much as I'd like Fantasy/JB to come back and play in these tournaments, I'm still pretty convinced that we need new blood on the scene.
(IN THE CONTEXT OF GROWTH. I'M PERFECTLY HAPPY WITH THINGS AS THEY ARE)

To many people there is a significant difference between retiring because you have won all there is to win and wanting to enjoy your free time compared to being bullied into retiring by trolls.

In game 2 jaedong won the game if he go the other side of the bunkers, burrow in the range of bunker and high ground was terrible decision. Game 4 Flash returns the favor x2, by seeing hydra bust and not prepare but go out and after, not landing his barracks back to place, that was too much choke non typical for Flash. In game 5 at 6:55 jaedong had really good chance to put flash on 1 base if he took the risk not to return his mutas. That dropship later completelly destroyed jaedong. Good games, Jaedong played unexpectedly impressive.

There is new blood here and there on fish i guess, but they just cant compete with these ex-pros because of the extensive and deep knowledge they have of BW. Last an sSak talked about this. Ex-pros has such a big margin because of that
There would have to be some sort of organisation where these same ex-pros train and support younger talents. That is not happening at the moment because noone is taking the lead in such an approach and therefore everyone is scared and trying to secure their own financial situation for the future. And that is working for the top 10 probably, but not for everyone else really, so yeah, its not sustainable probably and that is sad to think about.

Shine says that JD's den wasn't late. JD forgot to upgrade lurker. He did it too late.

I wonder how much of a role has the loud public screams when something like this happens it surelly affect the player who is under attack and give strenght to the other. Flash said on stream that they cannot hear anything from the crowds..right classicalyellow83?

Everyone who participated in ASL confirmed that you can't hear the crowd.

Shine says Flash killed the hydras a sec b4 the upgrade was finished.

As far as i know booths don't really do much anyway (at least not unless you get really expensive ones?!) I think someone relevant in the scene said that a while ago, maybe TB?

Well his mech transition tvz long game is close to unbeatable in a vacuum, which is why every zerg he plays struggles to stay alive long enough to beat him before he 3 bases and gets comfortable. Zerg has pretty much exhausted it's builds vs Flash's T before, now it's only out which is defilers is close to being solved by Flash hinself. which was not the case even in 2010 If any zerg today plays him bo5 he just never loses

I do remember maybe Jinro causing a controversy when he complained about crowd sounds leaking into his booth. I also remember at least one version of the GOMtv booths also playing background noise or music in addition to soundproof headphones to further mask the crowd sounds.
But if the new booths work fine then that's alright. It's just a bit jarring to see open booths in GSL and ASL after years of seeing closed booths in OSL, MSL, GSL, and SSL.
