Well, Scan hasn't signed up yet so who knows if that'll be the case. Would make for an interesting matchup though!

I doubt it. Scan is quite the mannered player these days so he wouldn't pull off that stunt.

tourney should be split in 2. amateurs and semipro.
otherwise is not fair to those who can't practice much.

to be a great starcrafter these days you have to have income for food and rent and divorce and forget about your children...

maps. i would agree with this dodger julia in something but i also don't see Jade. or Byzanthium. colosseum. heartbreak ridge or any new maps?

who ever shows the statiatic.. don't compare progamer statistic. of the map.
fs is not so balanced as you think..
same as destination.
Julia. why not island maps? would be fun some times.

Imho. maps should be changed every week. all of them
so we go through all past and present legendary maps.

To casting crew: i can cast too. let me know if i can join.

i think who ever wins this tourney like 2 times in row. should give half of prize money to 4th and 5th finalists. so his prize is not more than who ever finish 2nd..
because we all know scan is hard player. this way i could call firebathero and he would win 2000 pounds.

Don't even try to complain about maps because admins are listening neither mapmakers, fans nor players. They don't even want to test new foreign mapmaker's maps regardless the fact that listed maps made their way into iCCup map pack. They just showing stats of korean maps when they stated early that the tourney was organized to strengthen the activity and support of the foreign BW scene, not considering that KeSPA scene is gone and percentage of winrate on those maps can be applied accurately only for ex korean pros. In general they follow rules of KeSPA/SoSPA scene by adapting only korean approved maps and not helping foreign scene to make a step with his own unique maps.

If you try to make a poll you will get yourself shut down, because only admins can decide what to do, what to change, arrange not the crowd, not even sponsor. I think 3-4 admins are taking too much responsibility for themselves, too much actions by not accepting other people's thoughts and denying any further discussion by locking threads. In total, there will be OK tourneys, but no way foreign scene is gaining any benefit after these type of unavailing arrangement of events.

Well you guys are starting to get out of line. As many of you were right to complain against admin's decision to let Scan play none of you have any right what-so-ever to push for any other changes. If the TL crew feels that certain maps are suited for this tournament or even if they are trying to promote some maps you dont like for that matter (as long as the maps are relatively balanced) you should shut up and play the bloody maps.
Its one thing to ask/listen the crowd for one semipro korean player's participating and another to start putting every map somebody makes/likes in the map poll. The statement that the foreign scene won't gain any benefit unless certain foreign maps are played made me laught. Seriously.. foreign scene have survived on korean maps so far and they are actually the most widely played maps.

And to actually get on topic: The map poll is not an issue at all. Its the player poll we have to work on and the history showed us it does not depend on the maps played since most ppl are usually practicing on the same maps (also I believe everyone remembers the Lost Temle's ages when this + the other few WCG maps were the only maps played and there was absolutely no problem with the player's poll). Now I'm not saying new maps are a bad thing. Its healthy and good for the comunity but its not so critical for this tournament. Hence whatever maps the admin's are choosing will not hurt the even in any way (unless ofc we're playing the same maps for the entire tournament which I doubt will be the case).

One map was already replaced based on community feedback (poll). Changing more than one from week to week is a bad idea, just tells the players they shouldn't even bother putting much thought into maps.

2pac closed a thread that he made regarding maps since it was a bit redundant (had another thread already open) and the OP wasn't the best organized so he's been mad since then despite my best to explain to him why it was closed.

I see. All the anger, blame and self-righteousness seems a bit rich if it really is based on the fact that this new, sustained series of weekly tournaments organised by staff at a great deal of time and effort, and generously sponsored by someone who clearly loves the game, doesn't use the "right" maps.

That build is almost as standard as forge fe in PvZ.

Decision making OP.

I hope people stop crying Scan is too good and start working on their flaws.
Dandy came really close and Trutacz just killed himself, 3 times in a row. lol.
It made me think of Killer's first Bo3 vs Boxer.

wow what happened today? you guys mixed game 2 with game 3 and we got hardcore spoiled.
Not to mention that you cant open the chat without seeing the winner of the match making comments when his game is being casted, we already know that scan is going to win but come on... if im watching a cast and one of the players is typing in a good mood in the chat by default i know the winner.
Can we make something about spoilers in the next one? i mean, it's not possible for me to watch the cast while chatting and not being spoiled? And if that is the case tell me so i dont open the chat again.
i hold nothing against anybody but please no spoilers. it ruins all my little fun
