I didnt agree with the options and the wording of the polls in yellowsmiles thread, and so I didnt participate. I expected the thread to get closed. Also, it was only a 24 hour period roughly which is not long enough in my opinion.
If polls are going to influence decision making to a large degree, then may I request that a tourney admin creates the polls for future map changes.

I understand your frustrations, but it isn't realistic to expect people to play on your maps, as amazing as they are, no one practices on them really.

we only made this change because it was a map that most are familiar with and a decent replacement to PA, but, we'll be taking a closer look at other maps, including the ones you posted (Eddy looks amazing to me lol) for future TLC
edit: also, keep in mind that TLC is weekly and it's already Monday. A couple more days and the next one starts so we have to decide within a day or two to give players a chance to practice the map and such.

CardinalAllins map thread is awesome for viewers who looking for a new stuff. Yeah, I agree that it looks wild to change all maps instantly to those but admins can replace a map for next season to one of the new maps, and so on every week. This will give players time to prepare slowly. And if that map sucks they can change it next week (season) again. I mean, why not to test it?
If you ask me, my favorite map from poll is Toad Stone and replacing it to FS sounds creative and exciting. Eddy looks great, but I don't like buff that has given to mutas to harass natural because you can't put turret behind mineral line. Hell, we already got a ton of zerg foreigners, so I vote against that map.

There are like 50 milion maps that are more balanced than Destination. Having a choice between PA and Desti, I'd take PA blind.
List your 5 maps for this tournament if you could pick them. I'm just curious what they would be.
Anything other than Desti, and please don't it be Longinus or Paradoxx. I play like motw maps all the time on icc. On destination it's impossible to win zvt, most terrans know it, same with Longinus - that's why you see those maps picked by players who normally lose to better opponents.
If there were islands on icc, I'd play islands even, but I would never play on Desti or Longinus. Very bad maps, it's like common knowledge if you play starcraft... However if you don't, I understand you might be surprised.

Okay. Well look at it this way. We listened to the feedback on PA and switched the map to Destination after just one cup being played. You can sure as hell take that as an indicator that we are 1. listening 2. willing to make changes. It is unfortunate for you and anyone else who shares your opinion in this weekends map pool. However this is what was picked for this week and we will reconvene after this next cup like we did this past Sunday and make adjustments where necessary.

Yeah 2pacalypse, I really worked hard by adding some unexisted map into liquipedia (1st time using it) which is being used now in iCCup map pack and I get my thread closed for dumb reason. I won't contribute anything from this time because TL admins keep closing not old threads which is pointless for viewers but hard worked ones.
And this is BM for BWMN map community (which I'm member too, even though I didn't make a single map). Continue to kill BW stuff.
Outscar, we appreciate you trying to contribute in order to help TLC become a success, we really do, but, the problem with that thread is that you had like 30+ maps in the OP and then you had a large poll of 73 choices for maps. That's way way way too excessive. You lose the readers and with the poll, heck, even 10 choices is a bit much. I realize that you were trying to be very inclusive, but, I think that was the main problem with your thread plus we had that other map thread so it was redundant to have two of them and split the discussion.
I think your thread would've worked best if you just made a list of maps (names only, no pictures and with link to TLPD) then tried to argue which could be good options to include (stats etc...) and asked to see community feedback. This would've been best done before yellowsmile's thread though so a bit too late now, but, thanks for your effort!
BigFan, still it's not explanation for closing my thread within 1 min. before anything like you said happened. I don't understand why everytime admins act like they see the future. Hell, I posted pictures&links because even 2pacalypse said he havent heard many of the maps in Cardinal's thread. I wanted to introduce those which made their way into pack. So, who's problem that we got 50 ladder maps in iCCup and 20+ non-ladder maps? Isn't iCCup is the place where all foreigners train? How can you choose only 10 maps blindly when we got so many? That poll should've helped to know which maps are popular, and we could've sorted top 10/20 of them to discuss properly. GL then with playing FS non-stop.
And including stats isn't problem, I can add TLPD link for all of them. But now I'm screwed. I think I must fear over 9000 times admins before contributing.
