The right person won the Poland event this year, which is all you can ask for. DrunkToss ftw.

He decides to be a pro-gamer and does it. He decides to win Poland WCG and wins it. What next? I REALLY look forward to a Draco top 4 finish. I think he can do it. If not, at least top 8, dependant on brackets of course. LX too, but the focus is on Draco now.

I've been following the starcraft gaming scene for more than 3 years. I've said in a previous topic that Blackman had already proven he is a talented player ( beating Oddysay back in 2002 ) but now, in 2006, I maintain it was completely irrealistic to say he had a chance vs the koreans and his results at WCG poland clearly proved my point. That's all ..

That's all .. QFT. At that lan party about 1-2 months ago in Hungary Blackman got beaten by a random zerg (or at least one I never heard about) and Shaman (who's good, don't get me wrong, but it seemed too easy for Shaman). Then this happens at WCG, and still you guys claim he could have beaten koreeans and stuff. Well you're obviously wrong. Just because he was once great doesn't mean he'll always be great. How far do you think Tsunami would make it if he'll re-start playing. How about Grrrr? Grrrr said it himself, that he would have no chance against koreeans, because today's play level is too high. So what I'm saying is: Judge Blackman's current skill by what he accomplishes now, not by what he accomplished before. I'm not saying he can't do it, but he DOES need a lot of practice to be great again.

Uhu, I've seen all the games. But you act like raven was miles behind him in terms of skill, I think raven put up an excellent fight, yes, he did seem to slip a bit come midgame but if you watch the first game on gaia they played, he was winning. And the second game on gaia he very well could have won if his dropship feint had worked ![]() Yes, draco was 1 step ahead in micro and macro (especially keeping it up) but the games were still between two relatively even opponents.
